How old am I?
How old am I?
So we have a lot of guess the score. How about a guess the age on this bull? You can guess the score also if you would like.
Yes I got the age from the bio after sending teeth in.
The tops almost look like a Roosevelt?????
I like Dirk's guesses. I'd say the bull is 340ish gross due to that left antler and has a lot of deductions if measured as a typical that would net him closer to 315.
Clearly a fake. There's no way you killed an elk without a camo bow.
Damn nice!
My guess, You--- 31
Da bull 7-8 years old
Ya done good
Good luck, Robb
I’m guessing you’re 35, 8 1/2 on the bull, 375 on the bull.
Nice trophy! It has deductions. I am going with 338.
No way to even guess the age with a that photo.
No idea of age of either you or the bull. But by the looks, neither one has any gray hair.
Sure you can guess! Of course there is no way to accurately tell age of a critter from a picture.
Or score either!
It’s all in fun!
In a wildlife biology class in college we had a test where we aged deer based on tooth wear after a lot of practice and could even use “cheat teeth”. Each of the deer had been aged in the lab. Out of about 100 students, the average score was around 70% and the best was mid 80’s%. The professor told us that when they did the same test with PHD’s and Professional Wildlife Biologists, the scores were not any better.
32 yo, 165lbs, 8 yo, 370 in
Tough picture. I’ll say the bull is 9.5 and 354” gross. Nets are for fish.
I like these threads.. How much meat did you put in your freezer and what state was it shot in?
In your thirty something and bull over 8 years old and between 360 to 370 score.
"The tops almost look like a Roosevelt?????" It actually had another outrigger that he broke off before I could kill him.
"Clearly a fake. There's no way you killed an elk without a camo bow." Haha when I bought it black was all the rage
"My guess, You--- 31 Da bull 7-8 years old" Can't get much closer then that.
"32 yo, 165lbs, 8 yo, 370 in" I lost some weight on the hunt but not that much ha. I'm 6' 2" for reference.
Did you have the bull officially measured by a P&Y or B&C measurer?
"I like these threads.. How much meat did you put in your freezer and what state was it shot in?" Not sure on the meat. Never weighed it. I killed a mature bull in a neighboring unit and weighed what we packed out. Everyone would probably call me a liar so I'm not going to post it :) WA
Here is the only other pic I have on this computer. Kinda sucks for body reference but it was tough to get pics. Steep hill and lots of brush where he died.
Great bull! Might have been short on my earlier guess for score! Can I bump it up a few inches?
You 30, bull 7, pants, 10, and shirt 5
"Did you have the bull officially measured by a P&Y or B&C measurer?" No I never did. I care what stuff scores but not enough to get it done officially. A few years before I killed this bull I passed on a nice 7x7 because I didn't like the looks of it. It was probably a 370"ish bull. I killed a 350" bull on that hunt that I liked the looks of better.
This bull was my second choice bull on this hunt. There was another bull that was a little smaller that I liked better but another hunter killed it. So yea score matters but to me looks matter a little more if that makes sense?
I am going to say 8 or 9. Looks can be deceiving though. I think a good year in terms of rain, grass and food in general can make a big difference in antler size. Likely predator populations as well.
Great bull, congrats. Do you mind telling us what state?
