Ok my interest is piqued!!!
Crazy packing job
Crazy packing job
wow i hate to think what that would cost to ship to Canada lol
very cool are they all yours
Having a fun day setting all this up and unpacking. The taxidermy seems to be done very well I'm pleased with it.
Taking a short break for lunch after we got the pedestal Mount set up and in the living room. My son's kudu is the one on the left and it's a true world-class trophy 62 in. Mine was only 60 LOL.
Not sure how to turn these guys to make them look the best.
The zebra was the animal that I most wanted to take while I was there and proved to be the most difficult to shoot with a bow.
Forest: Are those from a 2017 trip ?
Only 60" HA, looking good . Forrest
Yes 2017 trip. My son and I shot 17 animals.
Wowser! What a great way to spend a Saturday! Congrats! Enjoy your blessings! C
PS: Pups look to be having fun too!!
That is a cool Kudu pedestal. Very nice
Back at it. The gemsbok put together and hung up. this is what my son really wanted to take why we were there and he took a great one it's the one on the left right at 40 in.
Very cool! Congratulations!
Very nice! Congratulations!
Fantastic! Really like the cutouts with hide placed behind.
Very Nice, they look Great.
Congrats Forest. I like the space you have to display!
Cool wall! My favorite is the lion. A good mountain lion mount draws the eye.
Very nice! Looks like you need a Sitka Blacktail yet ??
Yes Nick I need a Sitka I'll have a Colombian this fall
Blessbuck is up and so is this 24" Impala
I got great video of this Wart hog jumping in the water after I shot him.
Very cool!! Congrats Forest..
This was a great wildebeest that the guy I was hunting with called a golden wildebeest. He had blond or golden face features. I decided not to get him mounted because I didn't feel like I was going to have room for him I'm kind of glad I didn't LOL.
I’d guess he works for it but not really our business though eh?
Who has that kind of money to toss on hunts?
Guys a lot more financially stable than you is who
We know you are Tbm.
Biggie_bucks - apparently Forest does and I say: MORE POWER TO HIM! Now why don't you take your short-sighted, jealous agenda somewhere else!!!!
Thanks for sharing Forest. Congratulations on many incredible trophies and memories with your son! Pete
I'm a stonemason. We make all the money and get all the girls!
Very nice trophies and nice mounting of trophies.
Opening that crate was like Christmas morning as a kid wasn't it ?
What memories you have there to enjoy. Congrats
Done for the day. Another nice Euro Mount Impala and Euro warthog. my wife and I are trying to figure out ideas to do with all of the back skin from the animals. We save them all. would be neat as a backdrop on the wall behind the kudus or maybe as a blanket or something.
Congrats on a great trophy room Forest. The times of your life.........
Here is a hodge podge rug idea from skins. A rug could any size or shape you wanted.
Incredible. Must have been an awesome trip. Congrats on your trophies.
Well I never had the taxidermist show up with a flatbed truck! What a pack job! I couldn't even afford the shipping! Good for you!
Very cool congrats! Liked the stonemason comment ??
Looks great, Forest!
I’m assuming you had all of the taxidermy work done in Africa. From what I’ve read, that can be a bit dicey, with little recourse if the work is poor. Your mounts look great to me, but it’s hard to tell from just pics. What’s your overall impression of the work that you and your son had done?
Looks like you guys had a blast! Good for you guys! Congrats
Fun times, nice trophies! Who did you hunt with?
We had newstrom taxidermy do the work in Africa. It is very very good for the price and overall it's way above average I would say. It's not as quality of work as somebody like Dennis razza but it is perfectly acceptable for me. We hunted with motsomi
Very nice. It looks like there is a great lifesize bear mount just out of frame as well. Those kudu are truly impressive trophies. When is your next trip to Africa, and is it for DG this time?
No trip planned as of now
Looks awesome! Thanks for sharing!
What a wait for the box to finally show up. With all the horror stories about failed shipments Poor trophy care , happy it all worked out for you , what some great mounts . The wife is more interested in the hide wall hanging, any possibility of posting a photo from straight on. That’s a great unique trophy also.
Looks fantastic Forest! What a great trophy room!
Forest,
Your Home, mounts and the way you have them displayed is beautifully and tastefully done! Congratulations on your success and a wonderful trip with your son! I bet that was a lot of fun unpacking and figuring out where to put them! I love the Africa cutouts with the hide, very cool idea!!!!
Hey Biggie_Bucks… See, that's how you can be a little envious and yet still acknowledge a beautiful home, beautiful mounts, a successful business man that can afford a successful and obviously expensive hunt without being an ass-hat!! Get Some Class!
Congrats, very nice, now where is that Mountain Goat going?
Some very nice animals and well displayed!! Must have been a blast opening the crate and seeing them all again. Great way to relive each animal, unpacking, assembling and hanging!
I went to RSA in 2010 and am just starting to get animals mounted now. Sure wish I'd saved all the back skins to. The few I did keep are really cool for display.
What a great trip, congratulations on all the animals! Who was the outfitter and did you have them mounted in Africa?
Memories to last a lifetime or two! Awesome Forest.
WOW, --WOW,WOW, triple WOW. THe only thing I can see is that you are running out of room! Nicely done. my best, Paul
Beautiful trophy room, and very well displayed! thanks for sharing with us.
Hey Forest that is quite the game room! The memories will last a lifetime!
Beautiful Forest...Now you need a bigger room!
Had to be an exciting day unpacking and hanging all the mounts. Enjoy the memories made. They look great!
Those are very nice, and congrats to you and your son on a awesome trip and beautiful mounts. About the gemsboks, I guess I never really paid attention to individual color of the gemsboks, but both of yours have different patterns of color. That is very cool.
Those are impressive mounts. Love the kudu pedestal. Probably one male and one female gemsbok. They have different horn length and mass and coat color patterns.
Congratulations! Cool way to remember a great experience.
Congrats Forest! But have you ever killed anything with a bow? Sheesh, you'd think you have started with a big enough room, but you're plumb running out!!!
AWESOME Forest! Great animals, mounts, and house! CONGRATS!
I'm not too sure about the gemsbok my wife and I googled some information on it and really couldn't find anything out. They are very very different colored though. If I remember correctly both were males. Everything in that room was shot with a bow.
Very nice. Congrats an a fine looking trophy room.
Maybe it's the photo but that looks like an exceptional wart hog?
Everything looks great Forest. Lot's of terrific memories I'm sure. Can't wait to see where the Mountain Goat goes!
Forest I hope you know I was kidding! Pretending to be a jealous guy, in reality I just walk around and say: "oh ya, well check this out my buddy Forest Keith, well he's not really my buddy, but we talk on the internet...well, actually we don't talk, but I look at his pictures...."
Beautiful trophy room Forest! Looks like an incredible trip with your son. You guys are truly blessed! Congrats!
Where in Africa were you and who did you hunt with?
This is impressive and I agree, the pedestals with hide in the background is an awesome idea.
Congrats Forest.....Wow. Great memories for you and your son. The Zebra really is stunning
Wow, great haul of trophies. Congratulations!
I am a bit surprised though that of all the animals you had mounted, you didn't mount the Golden Wildebeest. A Golden Wildebeest is a Blue Wildebeest that is specially bread for that color trait. It's the exact same animal, but it costs triple or more the price of the blue because of the color. It's unusual that someone would pay triple the price to take the gold version, but not keep the part of the trophy that made it "worth" triple the price. Not criticizing if you can afford it, I just thought it odd.
The wildebeest was $500....... Was told the golden trait was something from long ago and it showed up in this bull.
I was thinking that I should of mounted it though.
I'm heading over for the first time with my wife in May, hunting with Limcroma. Sable, Impala, wing shooting for me and whatever I can convince her to let me shoot and her first animal (hopefully a big kudu) for her. We are pumped. Congrats on the great animals and beautiful mounts!
Congratulations Forest... Christmas In February!!! Looks great.
Nice trophies! Place looks nice!
Pretty cool room man, looks like you even have a little space left for a few more animals even. My wife always asks how much my taxidermy will be worth when I'm dead, I always respond with not nearly as much as I paid for it! Can't take a checkbook with you to heaven, congrats from top to bottom, cool stuff.
Im surprised that leopard doesn’t have any spots
Amazing trophies Forest. Love the trophy room!
