I had a pretty busy 2018 season and I thought some of you guys may enjoy a abreviated review. I think I’ll mainly share pics and some quick captions. I’m not much of a word smith and don’t want to embarrass myself with my grammar and spelling.
I finished 2017 strong after a fairly light hunting year. I killed a very respectable Woodland caribou in New Foundland my personal best elk in Wyoming.

So I felt pretty good about how my limited 2017 went and started 2018 early in Sonora Mexico. 2 p&y Coues deer and a Cotamunde made for a good trip!
—jim
Then February found me on my way to Spain for an Ibex. This is a Greedos Ibex. Unfortunately I hit a second one poorly last day with no recovery. But a great trip.
—Jim
From Madrid I flew straight to south Texas for a Nilgai hunt on the King ranch. Unfortunately he Nilgai didn’t cooperate, but a real fun hunt.

March I actually worked a little bit, but April I was back at it on my way to Nunavut Canada to chase Musk Ox with another Bowsite guy. Lost all my luggage (including bow) on the way up. -45 degrees and I literally had what I was wearing and my daypack! Ended up shooting my musk ox with my partners bow. Of course when we got off the ice all my gear was waiting in my motel room...

In June I headed back across the pond to Sourh Africa. It was my 4th trip to the dark continent. Tough hunting, but in 2 weeks I think I managed 15 animals and was 100% shooting except on Jakels, they seem to have my number! I missed 3 of them! But finall got one.

Watthog and Red Hartebeest
July I went to Utahti shoot the Snowbird total archery challenge 3d with another bowsite buddy. Fun weekend for sure. Planning to go again this year!
—jim
Later in July a bunch of buddies and I got together for a Oklahoma hog hunt. It was hot and the pigs weren’t moving real well, we scratched a few, but not me.
—jim
August found me in Wyoming sitting in a blind over a waterhole. Surrounded by waterholes! Rained every day of our hunt. Pretty disappointing, guess that is what I get for expecting a slam dunk waterhole antelope hunt ;)
Passed a few, just tough conditions!

September is my favorite month! I had another Wyoming elk tag, but first needed to get a AK moose killed.
—jim
Lots of glass, and not much moose.

My buddy also killed a wolf with a rifle. Actually he killed 2 and we could have had 2-3 more of we were trying harder. Damn wolves.
—jim
Struck out on the Moose, but AK was awesome as usual! 2 weeks in the Bush then without even going home I flew straight to Wyoming.

2018 Wyoming bull, not quite as big as 2017, but I was very pleased. Great hunt! I LOVE elk hunting!
—jim
Got home on October 1 and really didn’t do much after that. Some Whitetail hunting here at home, but couldn’t connect with one I was looking for. Killed a couple pigs and gor busy with making up for all the time away!
—jim
I had planned to take it a little slower for 2019, but my schedule is starting to fill up. Too much to hunt and too little time and money!!!!
Thanks for following along. If anyone is interested in specifics of any of my adventures I would certainly be happy to share.

Amazing year. Way to go JT. Hunt
Great year with incredible memories! Hope ‘19 is even better! Thanks for sharing:-)
Looks like you had an awesome year. Congrats!
Geez, Jim, don't even know what to say. Your year was a lifetime of hunting for most of us poor schmucks!
A super year of adventures and trophies- Congrats
That’s what I was thinking, Jaq.
Good Lord, what a ton of dream hunts in a year!
Are you hiring in whatever field you work in? Lol
Wow. That is more than a lifetime's worth of hunting for most folks. Congratulations! It seems like you took the "unsuccessful" hunts in stride and enjoyed the experiences regardless of harvest.
Good stuff Jim. Thanks for sharing.
Thanks for sharing, good luck this year.
Good stuff, buddy. Looking forward to TAC again!
A great year! Damn I wish I coulda tagged along on a couple ;)
One hell of a year. Congrats!

Real nice meeting you this summer.

Holy moly, JT....what a year!
What a great year! Congrats man...
Attaboy Jim! Helluva year
What a year. Congrats. I especially like the little jacks you are holding :)
Ya dude! Tremendous year. Not sure how you got any work in:) Incredible!
Whats up with the dogs youre holding on your Africa hunt? I assume they are trackers, what breed are they?
Thanks guys, definitely a busy year. I was planning to slow Down a little his year, but seems I can’t help myself...
SBH-they are Jack Russell terriers. They are Jessie and Cuda. Some bad ass little dogs right there. I was shooting pretty lights out, so their job was pretty easy for most, but the jackel was a different story, without them there would have been absolutely no chance for recovery. Incredible hunters.

Congrats to your accomplishments great year Lewis
Wowzie! Nice!
Do you need a caddie?
That's one hell of a year. Congrats and best of luck with 2019. Looking forward to seeing many more photos!
Jim is a perfect example of American blue collar hustle.
That’s a fact Nick. Just a hard working man . Work hard play hard and do it while your young. Hell of a year Jim . Can’t wait to hear about 2019 . Sounds busy !! Hunt
Thanks again fellas.
Yeah, just a blue collar guy willing to work and make things happen. I have made some life decisions that allow me to chase some of my dreams (not all yet).
I have certainly been lucky in some instances and have some great friends willing to help me make some adventures happen. Every single adventure in this thread has some kind of tie to bowsite.
Get out there and make things happen! Like Hunt said, do it while you are young too! I’m living my retirement now, I just have to work in between ;)

Holy smokes, Jim! Incredible year for sure. Congrats on some great trophies!
Really cool man. Congrats on the kills. Bigger congrats on making the decisions in life to get you this much time hunting. God Bless
Right on Jim. Well said and way to go. Your doin it right. Life is short.
Congratulations, Jim! Great season for sure.
Excellent man sounds like an adventure and a half!!!
Best of luck this year!
About time you post this on here. Maybe this year we can get you to smile. :)
Congrats again, Jared
Yowza, that's insane. Congrats on the year. I am always astonished at the number of hunts some guys are able to put in in a year. That alone is an accomplishment.
One heck of a year. Adventure nonstop it looks like. Great to see you are not letting up on chasing the dreams and adventures. Best of luck in 2019 and beyond!
CONGRATULATIONS... that is an awesome year for sure.
Fantastic adventures...You are living the dream, Jim!
This is Jim smiling, in case you've never seen him smile! He only does it when he takes selfies though :)

Again, very nice year Jim!
Come on, the Iceman has seen me smile. I smiled and laughed a lot after he had missed 20 redfish in a row!
And for the record I always smile when wearing stuffed animals on my head! ;)

Awesome year Jim. Way to get it done!
Unreal year. Great recap and season
