Really struggling with the pictures here. My brother walked up on this bull at 40 yards bedded down. It was the night before the season opened so all he could do was snap a pic.

Rough one. First picture looks like 260. A couple of the later ones look closer to 300. I’ll say 280 based on weak 4ths.

Main beams look like they're 37-38 inches from the front. That's the problem with judging a pic if you only have one. They look like they're 42 from the side.

I like to give myself a 20" cushion on guessing elk, they're tough for me to score.

Dirk, they parked the truck and walked 200 yards down a skid road to an old clear cut. So they could sit and listen for bugles. Bull was bedded right next to a slash pile. Can’t say I would have ever anticipated that one. No different than anyone else that walks out of camp to a view point to glass and bump an animal. Or bumps an animal while packing camp in. Or bumps an animal before legal shooting light while trying to get to your target area at first light.

I’m thinking under 300. Probably in that 270” range. Hard to tell, but in a general unit will get an arrow sent his way!

I'm going to guess 280" gross. He looks similar to this one I got that grosses 285" but mine has longer fronts.

Yeah you're right, maybe more like 270ish.
I wonder what Ski-Skin thinks he scores? ;-)
