Somethings up with that you would think a lot more penetration than that on a phone. Will someone shoot their phone with a average hunting bow and see if they don't get a complete pass through. Then post up pictures.

It’s awfully hard to get much penetration on a target that moves with the arrow upon impact.
Hang a nerf ball on a string and see if you can shoot through it.
If the guy had locked his elbows and had been able to hang onto the phone, he probably would’ve been skewered....
