One of the conversations I had with Mike was in regards to skin cancer...I’ve had one cancerous spot removed and several other pre spots zapped...Two more just the other day! Growing up in the 60/70’s I don’t believe my parents knew of sun screen...

As a PSA, it doesn’t take anything to have your doctor or a Derm do a once over of your body, especially exposed areas...It just may save you some misery and your life...

Gods speed Mike...

All, im sorry I didn't get to you guys sooner. Mike had a spot of skin cancer (Merkel Cell carcinoma) removed from his arm last year. He then contracted the cancer in various places throughout his body. He opted not to treat it. Thanks god he didn't suffer long. He was in the same hospice and bed his wife was in when she passed and he was comfortable. Through a very very good friend and hunt partner of his Mike was able to see all the well wishes and great comments from folks of other website forums that he belonged to. The next day he passed, I believe with a smile in his heart. Like a few of you mentioned Mike was a great guy, a generous guy, a knowledgeable guy for Wyoming for sure and helped where ever and when ever he could. He also mentored kids in Michigan for Turkey hunts every year. Side note, Mikey made me cry a couple of times but it sure wasnt from sadness. He made me laugh so hard I was nearly in stitches. Fun times ill always remember. RIP Mike, you will be missed!

RIP to a good guy. Another reminder to live every day. I lost a good friend to a mole a couple years back. Back in the 60s and 70s it seemed like we tried to get skin cancer. I've had several basal cell and squamous cell removed, always concerned about worst case.

Hopefully Mike is at peace now.
