Ok, so I spouted off a while back and said I'd be just as happy killing a 30" buck, as I would a 380 bull. And I still stand by that. But could we at least see a few 380 bulls that I know exist on some walls? Just to clarify, yes I would be ecstatic killing a 380 bull. Heck......I'd be happy killing a 350. Wonder what the difference between a 350 and a 380 looks like? ;)
Looks like about 30 inches . Sorry!
They are like unicorns but they do exist !!
As a reference for whitetail hunters divide 380" by 2 = 190 inch whitetail. Put another way go to the airport and count the number of 7' humans you see in a day. Rare genetics for sure! C
This one grosses 405 and nets 383 typical.
Hunt Man does that score right at 380 or bigger? that's a nice one
Something fishy about Hunt Man's story......... 380" bull with unmatched camo?????
400 1/8 gross 386 6/8 net
I could probably go in Unit 380 and kill a raghorn, would that count??? Nice bulls gentlemen!
Unicorns for sure!
Great Bulls posted up!!!
Mark
Holy balls! Those are some bulls! Not helping my Spring fever. Yah, I kinda wondered who dressed Hunt Man too. But nice of Trophyhill to say he'd be satisfied with a 350 bull! Think I'll fix a drink.
Hey, David! My cousin killed this one in Wyoming. Grossed in the 390s.
Hey, David! My cousin killed this one in Wyoming. Grossed in the 390s.
Wow Zane! Very nice! Can't wait to kill one just like it come September ;)
Here’s a right at 350” bull.
A few pics of mine from ‘17 from different angles.
A broken tine really killed the score but I was plenty happy.
If you look at the length of the tine that was still there that would have matched up you can see how much that one hurt! If that one matched the other side’s length at 16”, it would have added 32” to the score and pushed it into your 380 range.
Not that 30” buck, but bet even ‘ok Trophyhill would be pretty happy;-)
Definitely unicorns. Great bulls guys!
Great bulls all! Love it!
I can dress myself Most days. Here is a 350 stacked on a 400. Great bulls guys. Come on September
That there’s a pile of bone Hunt!
Damn right Treeline! Very nice!
Great bulls guys. How come my calendar says March 26 when I know it's really August ?
Hunt man that 380” bull is beautiful. Great mass
Here's my bull. He grossed 358 5/8 and netted 348 2/8.
Some great bulls posted.
This is crazy! Stop! Makin nuther drink.
Willieboat, post up that big beast of yours!
Here is another angle to the one I was blessed to even lay eyes on.
Somewhere I’ve got a couple pics of Adam’s bull on the hoof. He teased me with a couple brief far off encounters. Just a bomber
I thought this was for 380” bulls only....
C'mon BOHNTR. I'm loving seeing 350's too ;)
My buddy JJ took this pic of Adam’s bull. Sure is a dandy.
Those of you posting these fine animals, hope you relive those great and proud moments in your lives, and cherish those hunts the same as I have on every cow I've killed and on occasion a bull or 2 ;)
Billy, JJ has some video too. I love watching it.
Those giants sure are amazing to look at.
That a boy, cmbbulldog! Awesome bull too.
No doubt Adam...congrats again on a truly incredible trophy
403+ gross/389+ net
San Juan unit/Utah
Good luck, Robb
Dan, that pic looks very familiar!!
Great bulls gentlemen.
Okay, since the OP is okay with bulls smaller than 380"... this one is 360" gross...
Gross 400+, 7 x 5, he has some deductions so if your looking for net, he won't make your 380 mark. San Juan Utah
Last P&Y Convention I think there were 6 over 400! Can’t wait to see what Omaha brings in two weeks!
Mike, Treeline, absolutely I think we all love seeing 350's and up! Quite frankly, I love seeing any and all bulls that another is proud to have killed! ;)
Amazing bulls fellas. Don't stop now!
My 2015 Az late archery bull gross somewhere around 370.
Cool bull for sure Bill!
No Arizona tag for me this year, dang it!
Holy smokes fellas, awesome bulls!
Thanks dude! Damn Tavis I thought you were a lock this year.
It’s OK, got a damn good tag in Wyoming:-)
I like this thread a lot. Here's a 356"
I have one that identifies as a 380...
These bulls are really something! Nice work gentlemen.
Me "I killed a bull just before dark by the upper wallow."
Buddy "Nice! Good one? How big? Pope and Young?"
Me "Good one? Yes. Pope and Young? Well, lets just say he has plenty of "young", needed a couple years for the Pope part. :^)
Ike, that's obviously a California bull...
Was wondering if those that posted a picture could repost and tell how many years you had been hunting elk when you harvested the bull in the picture. Thanks
Not 380 but I couldnt pass him up at 25 yards with a recurve.
I had hunted elk DIY for 38 years at that time.
Gagger bulls on this thread, the kind you might only "see" once in a lifetime on Public Land, let alone get an arrow into it!
Here's my Buddy's 350 from 2016...biggest bull either one of us had ever laid our hands on.
Congratulations on some great bulls. This is a Nevada bull from 2010. I really wanted to take this bull because of his unique color. He scored 362+ so a long ways from 380.
I remember seeing that photo David, what an amazing, unique Trophy Bull !
Drnaln, that is a special bull for sure! Better than a 380!
tells you how rare 380 is, guys posting a bunch of 350ish dinks on a 380 only thread. LOL. If I had a dink 350 i’d post it too....
Even the bulls posted below 380” are rare. The last 3 for example Aren’t found easy. Anywhere!
From the latest 2017 P&Y Record Book, there are 122 typical American elk (Rocky Mt elk) entries that score 380" net or greater of the 9,287 total entries. That is 1.3% of the typical bulls in the book. 93 non-typical elk out of the 248 entered exceed 380" net.
Dropping down, 889 bulls meet or exceed 350" typical net score (9.6% of all entries).
Only one Roosevelt elk exceeds 380" typical net out of a total of 558 entries. Zero Tule elk (WR is 320-7/8") come close.
Keep posting those big boys. I can't wait for September. Only like 167 days before I depart but the pictures help....
This is like seeing pictures of supermodels. I’ll never get to stick one of those either...
Scoot, I received quite a few negative comments about that bull. Some were more then just negative & suggested I did something against religion! Some were down right hateful & threatening!
Not a 380!
Not a 380!
Here's a 370 gross. My largest so far. Right main beam 52". Left 46".
Here's a 374" gross bull my dad shot a couple of years ago. Pretty sure he and my 16 year old son will both have bigger bulls than me by the end of this season.

Got that right Bill! Hell of a bull!
When I started this thread way back when before the '19 season, and I appreciate all the pics y'all posted, I had no idea that I would have an opportunity at a bull pushing 380. My "Whale Tails" bull doesn't quite make it, but he's close at 377. What a great hunt!
Wow! Thats incredible to get one a year after that post. Congrats.
Congratulations! Great bill!
Trophyhill, How long are those main beams?
Well, do you still feel the same way? 30” buck vs 377” bull?
Fantastic! What an awesome critter!
Wow some impressive bulls fellas! A 380” class bull is a unicorn as far as I am concerned. But some of you guys have found them!!!
Love this thread and the amazing bulls posted. Congrats to all!
Yooper, a 30" buck is definitely still on the list but I believe I feel a little different now lol. Medicinemann, 58-2/8" & 58-4/8"
And thanks guys! Means alot coming from my well respected peers who I've looked up to on this journey!
David listen very carefully. Time for you to start a new thread titled “Never did I think both me and Chris S would both win $100 million plus lotteries”. We will meet back on here in a year to say how ironic the statement was. ; )
Man, that s flippin' awesome. Post a thread wanting to see 380" bulls and, killing the same the following season. Congrats!!!
386" taken on property we bow hunted. We came close to getting him but ultimately was taken during rifle
Bowfinatic, That is a gorgeous bull!
Kind of off subject but I have a friend that in 14' during 2nd rifle in a CO otc killed a 348". It was the first elk he had EVER seen! How can that be?!
Congrats Trophyhill! Have you posted a recap anywhere?
Yes it's titled "Whale Tales"
My 2016 Bull Archery Bull Wyoming DIY. My biggest bull yet. My buddy rough scored it at 378 5/8 but I haven't had officially scored yet. I don't really care about the score, it was a huge Bull on public hunting DIY and I'm happy as hell with him as I am with every bull I shoot. My first bull I ever shot was split 2X2 and I was just as happy (If not more excited) with him as I am with every bull I shoot.
Helluva bull Rowdy. Look at those 3rds! He's a giant.
Pop-r... 2007 2nd rifle opening morning, I dropped my dads high school best friend off on a good saddle that elk used....and took my dad up the mountain for the morning hunt. An hour later two shots ring out from the saddle. 330” in a heavily hunted unit OTC, public land. Probably drove by a dozen camps on the way out. First bull...crazy luck
