I just purchased a pair of the Lowa Renegade GTX. I always wear a 12 Wide in Lowa Boots. However, these seem very snug in the toe box area... I have emailed Lowa 3 times now with no response. All I want to know is if these run narrow in the tow box even in a wide, and should I buy the 13 Wide? The 12W seams about perfect in length, but not in width. Has anyone else had this issue? So far their customer service sucks!!!! If anyone has the phone number for the US Customer service can you please PM it to me??

Thanks Bowsiters!

BTW don't tell me to go buy another brand... Yet:) I just need some info to go off of before deciding my next step (No Pun intended)

My wides were fine in the toe box but they still leaked.

Their wides in the Renegades and Tibets are not quite wide enough for my feet. I even go a 1/2 size longer in the wides but still they squeeze my feet. They do limber up a little after a season or so of mountain usage, to where they're somewhat more comfortable across the toes. The Renegades are comfortable boots, but they're prone to getting shredded in rocky terrain since they lack rubber banding.

+1 Bob...mine leaked like a screen door after the first season. Great boot but not waterproof, even treated them frequently.

Hmmm, Ok, Maybe I will send them back, any suggestions on a comparable boot. ( wgt, Hgt, H2O proof?)

Lowa Caminos - I had to return them due to a torn rand and their customer service was great to deal with. Had a new pair within a week.

I PM’d you the contact info of the guy I dealt with.

I love my Lowa Renegade boots. I wore the first pair out, no issues. I'm on my second pair, and have another pair new in box waiting. I have not had them out extensively in extremely wet conditions.

Had a pair of 12W Lowas (forget the model) a decade ago. Seemed good until I noticed they squeaked just a tad--something you only learn during a quiet, senses-on-overload stalk. Anyway, I emailed Lowa. Per their instructions, I returned the "old" pair (they still looked almost new) and had a brand new pair a week later.

The most comfortable pair of boots I own. Except for my Mucks.

Had my new pair of Lowa's leak last year. Called Lowa and they asked that I try Sportsman's where I bought them first. The store swapped them out without much hassle. No issues with the new pair. I've tested them thoroughly. Very comfortable and they fit my feet really well, unlike Kenetreks.

Kenetreks are a Big No Way for me, heal rub from the second I put them on!

Scar- Try this info. My CS experience with Lowa was the opposite of yours. Emma was incredibly responsive...

I think I have 3 elk seasons on my Renegades....still no leaks. 2 seasons on my Caminos and no leaks, either. The Caminos are by far my favorite elk boot!

I have the Tibet’s and wore them on a recent hunt on Kodiak island. Terribly wet conditions with the boots at least partially submerged many times everyday. I did have some kinetrek gaiters on but never had a leak issue all week.

Big fan of Lowa.

I have a wide forefoot and narrow heel and some nerve damage on one foot. I’ve had a hell of a time finding the right boots. I’m really happy with ZAMBERLAN VIOZ PLUS GTX MENS HIKING BOOTS. They’re all leather so they are definitely heavier than the Renegades, but maybe worth a try...

What great timing for a thread. I wear a pair of Lowa Zephyr's every single day almost. I need a new set of laces for one pair of them....let's see if I can get them to send me a pair of free laces. I will let everyone know how my customer service experience works out.

So I just called Lowa (Still No Response From Email) I find that disappointing and a little bothersome, as they don't make their CS number readily available on their website... Oh Well!

They will exchange them for a 12.5 Wide. The renegades are a narrower boot than the other Lowa boots. The only bad thing is I have to get them in dark grey and navy blue. Not really what I wanted, but that is the only color they make the renegade in a 12.5 Wide. Oh well once again, I will let you all know how I like the new ones once I receive them.

Thanks for all the help!

Scar.
