Ok guys I’ve been around a bit and thought I knew a thing or two but am a little lost about how to see the elevation of a saved waypoint. I can move around and see lat and long. Changing as a scroll but NO elevation. What’s up?!?!!! Surely a map system touting to be the best shows elevation measurements right?!! Anyone....

Does your phone have an altimeter?

Yes it does

I'm curious also. I'd like to scroll and get the elevation at the same time as lat & long without having to save a waypoint or relying on other tools/programs

I use the contour lines as a layer. Not sure of another way.

I just read the contours on the topo map too...

Be advised guys that typically the vertical component (elevation) of any hand-held GPS device is usually less accurate than the horizontal component (lat-long/UTM).

To me it doesn’t matter how high it is, just how close together the contour lines are. ;)
