Buddy of mine shot one by accident (rifle) and paid $1000. That was six years ago.

I charge $750 for a non trophy cow buffalo or $2500 for a package of 5 either cows or cull bulls guides choice. I have some cows on the concession that score 90 to 110 I consider them trophy and there would be a full cost trophy fee for them ($1750).

Nobody really hunts cape buffalo cows in any number but you should be able to hunt one for $2500 plus or minus.

Thanks for the reference bowbender77... Yep, we have lots of big old females in our herds, and a few need to go.... We can also add a Cape buffalo cow at a great price to any Cape buffalo bull hunt as well.....

Are cow buffalo as difficult to penetrate as bulls (thick overlapping rib bones)?

despite some advice as to go bull only, I am doing a cow buff archery hunt in September. For a retired dude, its easy on the pocket. While lacking that big beautiful boss.....some of the cows have pretty wide horns. Anyways, I'm going for the prices suggested previous in this thread.

Tyler, I still haven’t forgotten you either! My company is now based out of Oz and they do a lot of work with the mines. Might just work out for a business trip down your way... Glad I have a takedown longbow and fly rods for the trip when it happens ;-). Will let you know!

Thanks for the kind endorsement Chief 419... We currently have a great package deal on offer for a Cape buffalo cow listed in the Outfitters/hunts/specials section of Bowsite. We have booked 5 of these for 2019 and it is possible we may be able to extend this offer into 2020 if we still need some cows culled. I urge anyone still interested for 2019 or 2020 to get in touch with me and we can see what we can do.....
Doing a Cape buffalo cow hunt is every bit as much of a challenge and adrenaline rush as hunting for a bull, yet offered as a much more economical option.
