Not new news. Would be monumentally groundbreaking if he is correct, but no other researchers are buying into it...yet... Until he can actually produce a "cured" animal, it's just a theory.

What I was told by reputable wildlife biologists was if crutzchfield jakob disease could be cured with antibiotics, they would have done it 30 years ago. This guy has no credibility whatsoever. It's too bad it has given us false hope.

You’re assuming that CJD is caused by the same bug (or similar).
And both you and Jaq are assuming that the damage is/would be reversible. Could be that there’s a tipping point.
No doubt the claims and promises in that article are overblown, though...
