Don't be posting pictures like that when some of us are trying to loose weight and get in shape! At least you did not have a cold beer in picture.

I used say a corn beef type brine and then a heavy coat of pepper and smoked on green egg at 225 tell meats at upper 150's.

Best way I have found for wild turkey, stays very moist

Yum waiting patiently for the morales to come up just a bit behind you. That looks awful tasty.

Mmm, that looks good. The wife and I had morels, onions and garlic with medium rare butterflied venison backstraps on the grill the other day. I ate the last of them for breakfast this morning. I hope to go look for morels again tomorrow after I cut some bow wood.

I'd never deprive myself of the things I love to get in "sheep shape"! I'd be eating the hell out of those shrooms and pastrami!

Looks awesome man, but as mentioned, need some beer or whiskey to compliment

You eat that every day and you’ll lose weight and be very healthy!

Nick the problem is I have not deprived myself of things I love or even like in a while so now I have to do a 3 month crash course of depriving to get in sheep shape.

When we bought our ground in 2012, we were told it had good morel gathering. That first year, we didnt know what we were doing and still found 10 gallons. The first night i looked, i found a gallon and the buddy i took who showed me what to look for found a similar amount. I went home and cooked them up a bunch of different ways. They were good. But then i come to find that i could get $70 per gallon for them....when i realized i just ate 3 prime rib dinners....i cried a little bit inside. I have only eaten one or two morels since....;^)

We had the ground logged and now we find a few total per year. Hoping when the forest regenerates, that changes and we start finding them regularly again.
