With Father's day on the horizon--feel free to share one of your favorite outdoor memories with your kids or dad.
Here's one of mine with my son on his first deer hunt. I think we were in the blind 10 minutes before he wanted to go "Exploring".... :)
Here’s a pic from several years back, of Dad, my brother and myself from one of our annual Canada fishing trips. Sadly, my brother passed away almost a year ago. Dad and I will be headed back up there again in a couple of weeks.
A loving father is one of the greatest gifts a man can have. I’ve been truly blessed to have such a great role model in my life. Love ya, Dad!
My favorite hunting photo of my dad out with my girls. We gave a blown up and framed copy of this one to him for Christmas.
My favorite hunting story: Kia shot a nice buck last fall and while I was helping her pack it out I sent my boy Kaden off alone on a hunting adventure with his grandpa. It was Kaden's first year hunting and he was rifle hunting as he couldn't shoot the minimum poundage for archery yet. They both came back with all kinds of stories and a lot less bullets! They saw a great buck and there was some argument over who should shoot it and they both ended up shooting and the buck ended up escaping unscathed. To hear them tell the story they were both game hogging each other! Classic! Kaden still to this day talks about his hunting morning with his grandpa and can't wait to do it again!
Best of both worlds. My Dad and boy with a turkey from this spring. Until I had a kid I never got it. Game changer for the best. Happy early Fathers Day. Hunt
3 generations this spring
One of my favourite Father's Day photos from 12 years ago. Time goes by way too fast.
Harvesters we are!

A father that taught me all I needed. A son that teaches me even more. Nobody luckier than me!!
Mom & Dad with my father's best fishing buddy, Bullet.
Me & my daughter at this year's NWTF Convention.
One of my favorite photos. My grandson, Dylan, & I on a turkey hunt. He is 16 years old now... wow.
My father, brother, and I after a morning crow hunt.
Pops didnt care how he got them....He took me to Vermont bowhunting when I was a midget. So long ago but I still remember some of it, whistling when I saw them coming behind him and his misses. Boy it sure was fun. Miss you pop!
BIGERN great pic! That pic was the good ole hunting days where big racks didn’t matter and hunters knew playing the wind was what mattered regardless if you had just smoked a stoagie! Plus no fancy camo either but pops got it done.
Have 3 boys, they love the outdoors. Oldest had a deer of the year in Outdoor life, middle one has a bow killed deer, youngest has got a Turkey with the bow. They are all too busy with life, work and kids to do much hunting now a days. I still shoot the bow daily and get out all the time. Retirement sure is nice!!
Love hunting with this kid!
BIGERN. That pic is as cool as the other side of the pillow. Nice
Bigern, I had the matching pants. And the Ithaca.
Glad the pants are gone. Wish I had the pump back.
My 3 wonderful daughters and I trapping. Caught our first fox.
How about one from 9 months ago!
The guy that taught me about the love of the outdoors. Hard to think that he's been gone 30 years.

Me (long hair) & my two brothers with my dad on Thanksgiving weekend.
Every day with my boys is a good day...
Me and my old man when I was young. He passed when I was 12 so I had to rely on my mom to take me hunting and fishing, to which she happily obliged. 17 years later and I’ve got two boys- 2yo and 2.5 weeks old. Can’t wait to show them the ropes.

This is me and my 4 month old son (at the time) and a very special deer that I shot after 5 years of cat and mouse.
First time hunting for my Father in Law, and his first deer. Which he shot running flat out at 470 yards lol. I did a push to him and I see the deer and I see him and I’m like you shot whaaaaaa?????!

My dad and I with my second archery buck. His back was hurt and he couldn't hunt but he whipped out to help me track and drag him.
I love Hunt’s description about getting it. I could go on and on forever about my daughter but I have to remember that’s what it’s like for everyone! She’s a Gem, I’ve fishing, baking, gardening whatever we do it all
I haven’t taken her hunting yet. Soon. She loves fishing though. And loves to be outside. She’s about an even mixture of my wife and I. She likes to get dressed up and look pretty, but she likes to get outside and get dirty too.
My boy and I checking my bait last night. He said dad can I go with you every time. Best hunting day I’ve had!
My son and I, trout fishing last Monday. Graduates high school tomorrow. Best buds.
Scoot, I was going to put out that she gets the “dress up and look pretty” from me :) :)
Parenting isn’t always graceful. The picture above, she’s been complaining her helmet is too tight, so I didn’t make her wear it on Monday as she was riding her Razr. . . . . Wrecked!!! 6 stitches. She can’t wait to get her new helmet though so she can get back on it.
Just a quick edit . . . Letting her ride with no helmet was irresponsible, I agree. But please realize this Razr is governed down to top speed being a scorching 12 mph down hill

Don't have any special memories with my old man, I'm making sure my boy doesn't have that problem..
With my daughter in Newfoundland last fall.
Four generations in one frame. My mother gave me the left photo about ten years ago, I never knew about that photo and always loved it after she gave it to me. I didn't know my Grandpa well (he died when I was six), he was a skilled hunter from everything I heard. I started hunting with his .308 Winchester and still use it to this day, it's been awesome to think of him of smiling down on me when I've been successful using his gun.
We re-created the same shot with my boy and I last year. I keep these on my mantle, I like to think of it as memories that were had and memories yet to come...

My two best hunting buddies. 6 and 4. We’re ready to get after it!
Spending an afternoon, teaching "the best thing that ever happened to me" , how to fish.
Spring turkey with my little lady
Dad's last trip to the mountains. Day before this picture was taken was warm and 50 degrees!
Dad and I, last October. He has been there for me, in and out of the woods, ever since I could remember. The perfect end to any of our hunts, is dragging a buck back to the truck...him holding one antler, and I the other. I prefer when it's his buck we're dragging, just like I know he prefers it's mine were bringing out. Though that's the outcome we want, most of my fondest times with dad is the truck ride to and from our hunting grounds...bitching about not seeing anything, or laughing about the creature encounters we had while on stand. Every hunt with dad, is better than the last.
My son came down from Alaska to bowhunt muleys with my dad and me. Love this photo of the three of us.
Here’s my Autumn on her first dove hunt last fall.
My son Preston ice fishing last winter.
And at the archery range with daddy :)
