What day will the draw be this year? Pulled my elk tag last year- hoping to dump my moose points??

Next week. Guess would be points disappear Monday, Moose posted on Tuesday, elk on Wednesday or Thursday, deer on Thursday or Friday. With bear and pronghorn mixed in there somewhere. No doubt all the draws are long-since completed, but your guess is as good as mine on actual posting dates. However, they've been abiding the published schedule almost religiously, and it shows June 3-7 for big game.

Yeah I’m not sure why they moved the draw back from the end of May to the first week of June. A minor annoyance but an annoyance nonetheless.

Yep, unless you're trying to draw a cow tag. If so, good chance of it. I have a friend who is absolutely certain he will draw a resident bull moose tag in my unit because he "finally has enough points". He's even planning his vacation around it. I think there are 7 tags and about 2500 resident applicants.

Cnelk the draw has happened that's why some species were listed on the leftover list they accidentally posted last week. Look at the sheep and goat stats it has a date way before the officially posted results

We were unsuccessful in the CO moose drawing for residents because we've got pending charges on credit card for 2-$50...opted for a preference point if unsuccessful on moose applications. Wife and I both applied with 3+18 points. Congratulations COHOYTHUNTER

I already figured out that weighted points mean virtually nothing, so it wouldnt surprise me if you only had a couple.
But I also heard most of the bulls in your unit died this winter from ticks, so happy hunting! (-;

FYI next year set up alerts on your card so anything over say $100 sends you an instant alert via email and or txt. That way you know if and exactly when you get a hit ;) No guessing or waiting.

Yep cc hit for $39.75 and $15.75. I drew my 2nd choice deer tag (Archery) put in for a point again for 1st choice, and My son drew his deer tag which was a sure thing. Had about a 50/50 shot at drawing this tag as a 2nd choice. Small victory but.... victory nonetheless. Ha.

My elk points just went up from 9 to 10 but status is active in my account. Deer points are the same (5) but status is unsucessfull. I applied for unit 49 which required 5 points last yr.
Has anyone experienced the disconnect on active/unsucessfull status and seen their points not increase after an unsuccessful draw?

My card was hit overnight for the cost of an elk tag, and my account on the CPW website now (finally at 1:30pm CDT) shows me as having drawn unit 49! Plus I've received emails notifying me of pref points awarded for deer and pronghorn. Happy to be headed back to CO to chase elk in September!

OTC elk as we know it may change if a couple of the alternatives the wildlife commission has in front of them get implemented. If anyone has been planning on an otc hunt but putting it off, this year may be time to go.

I had 8 points for deer and decided to get a tag that took 2. the reason is 1) i have a hunt on private property and i just wanted to have a good hunt ,, 2) i am tired of the point game , i have 15 points or more in several states.Tom
