Got up in the high country for a few hours this afternoon, did a 3 mile loop, and hung a camera. Was great to get out and see some old, familiar country. Saw 8 muley does, 2 cows each with a newborn calf, and a big ole cock blue grouse. Nearly all the snow was gone where I was at, but this was a South Facing slope. Enjoy the pics - come on September!

Beautiful country bud! Hope you get some great footage!

Just be mindful that there are lots of bulls around that may not be on the TrailCam, so many are like Houdini when it comes to taking their photos! (grim) We've taken a few bulls where Cams were present for two months in areas & not one photo of the bull we took was on it even though we took a bull less than 200 yards from the trail cam.

Don't want to hijack the thread, but i'm sending this from my current scouting (and first) in Colorado right now! Nice to see someone else out there scouting for the season...not many people around where I am at! Good luck in September!

25 miles in the Gila last weekend and set a couple cameras in 85-95 degree heat with my buddy who drew the same tag. Saw elk, deer and bears.

Here is a shot I got that I really like. He's no giant, but by dumb luck the light on his face looks like it was set up as a portrait. This was taken on June 5.

I keep a couple trail cams in the woods year round. Last time I checked, in late May, I had pictures of a very pregnant white tail doe. I want to get back and see if I have some fawn pictures. Beautiful country out there where you are.

I drew.....2nd season rifle cow tag in 15.....LOLOLOL I also drew an archery deer tag in my fav spot. And next year I should have my elk tag again. I just don't hate myself enough to go stand in line for hours and come up short on the leftover list........

PoudreCanyon and Jordan, thanks for posting the scouting photos. It's cool to see the photos of both the country and the animals. I'll be scouting out some new areas to me here in Montana, starting tomorrow. I'll try to remember to take photos and post.
