I can identify with that. Although hauling up 40 pounds bags of wood pellets up a flight of stairs has kept my legs functioning.

I’m right there with you. My training officially begins on the 20th, when I get back from my vacation to Colorado. Surely that will be good enough, lol. 60 days of rowing ought to get me as good as I can be on a slow healing, fractured ankle. I think rowing is a great mountain workout but there’s nothing like rowing a boat to nowhere while looking at the bare walls of an 8x10 workout shed. ;)

I’m trying to get ramped up. Leg day at the gym 1x a week and at least a hike a week if I’m lucky. Did 13 miles yesterday with my hunting pack scouting some new territory. Legs were gassed by the end! 60 days will be here before you know it. 8 weeks = 8-12 leg workouts! No more messing around guys!

Well after going to the Dr. and getting my blood work back I have modified my eating habits and going on a 4 mile bike ride every night. Lost 40 pounds in the last 6 weeks and have another 40 to go.

I remember Michael Phelps, the swimmer doing that "hickey" treatment at last olympics. Supposed to increase circulation in the area for faster healing/recovery, I think. Since aging and a major back fusion my balance isn't what it used to be, so my falling push-ups have increased. Hadn't realized it was an exercise routine, thanks!

Cupping, as arlone said its suppose to help circulation. I try to put them where I get/have knots, figured what the heck.. minimal investment with the potential for relief. I can say I have noticed some improvement, but nothing earth shattering.

Altitude is another thing to consider for us Minnesota guys. Simplest way I've found to prepare is whenever I go out, pick the highest bar stool I can find.
