Any one else in Park City at Total Archery Challenge This weekend?

We are headed up the mountain now, and will be around Saturday and Sunday if any one would be interested in meeting up. Shoot me a PM and we can exchange numbers or something.

Shooting thw Prime course today. The first target was a mountain lion at 90 yards. Started off with a strong barely miss :)

Everybody who went today needs to post with the number of arrows they brought vs. brought home!!!!

It really depends on which course (4 different courses) you are shooting too. This one (prime) has some of the longest shots. This one seems to have decent backstops on some of the long ones. I’ve missed a couple, but no arrow fatalities for me yet.

Nick—John may have laughed us off the mountain if he saw us shooting ;)

Lots of pretty long shots on the course. Moose at 127, dall sheep at 101, turkey at 85, etc.

For the record I’ll fez’s up to loosing/breaking 6 arrows today.

I love TAC, it is easily the best shoot of the year. Broke my spirit a little to miss it this year but family came first with other plans. Can’t wait to be back on the mountain next year! Have fun boys!

127 on anything is getting out there. And 85 on a turkey is no joke.

127? Did you guys bring your rifles;)

Exactly Matt... sounds realistic ... not. But does sound like a fun social time. :-)

I didn’t set up the targets fellas. Just playing the cards I’m dealt. ;)

Today the course is more whatninwoild consider a realistic hunting scenario. Shots averaging 35-40. Overcast nice weather.

I really enjoy these TAC shoots. Some of the shots are nuts but it’s overall the best training/shooting you can do. When you leave there 30 yd shots feel like 15.

Are any of the courses reasonable for recurves?

Fred Eichler shoots the course with his recurve.

127 yards? That might even be out of Brady Ellison's wheelhouse.

Yeah, lots of fun. Plenty of things to do all kinds of stuff going on there.

Lost arra— I saw a few guys wirh sticks but I don’t really see any of the courses being very “trad friendly”. Even the Locals course which is the easiest probably averages 35-40 yards with longest about 60 I think. Of course it all just fun, you could shoot from closer.

Bighorn—they don’t anounce dates till early next year, but the Utah dates are generally like the 2nd weekend of July. They also do one at Big Sky in Montana this coming weekend.
