I coach youth football, baseball and fall baseball. Needless to say my late summers and fall are booked tight. I want to shoot a muley with the bow. Can anyone recommend a state(s) or area where you could get non residents OTC tag and still bow hunt last week of October?

Nebraska or Idaho would be about your only options. Probably Nebraska based upon your dates, length of drive, etc.

Not OTC but you can draw any 2nd/3rd (depends on dates) rifle tag in Colorado and hunt it with bow.

I'm a big fan of hunting in NE, especially that time of year. I would not say to go trophy hunting there, but if you want to just hunt mule deer without a specific score in mind, it's a great opportunity state.

Idaho has 2 late season Archery hunts for Muleys in November. Unit 39 right out of Boise is one of them. OTC and general hunt.

South Dakota is no longer an option for him this year unless he hunts private land.

I don’t have an answer for your dilemma but I will say thank you for volunteering your time to coach those kids.
