What heads are you using for this season ?? ... I just got done setting up my 4 hunting arrows for this season all on Gold Tip Velocity GT 340's .. Wicked Trick, Viper Trick, Steelhead XL's and the venerable Sidewinder, all 100 grs except the Wicked Trick which is 105/106 grs .. POI is Identical out to 50 yds with these.... My Range is 40 yds and under...... depending on the head the arrows w/ 3 Blazers weigh from 426-430 grs, well within my tolerance of 5 grs for a set up arrow .... this is the heaviest arrow set up I have used in 20 years for Whitetail, mainly because I have went to 50 gr inserts to offset the 23 gr lighted Glory 'Fit' nocks (red) and to keep my FOC around 12 %... I was going to try Nockturnals, but I wasnt happy with the flight/nock/string fit and someone one here was SUPPOSED to send me some to try ( I got shafted, so to speak as he never sent them)... any ways, I rotate thru each BH each sit, I have faith in each head . So I will have two fixed and two Mech's to try and kill my one big Buck and a large Doe this season... I'll see which head I connect with .... what about you ??

Shooting a 532 grain arrow with a 100 gran vpa on the end of it, all arrows came out between 532 & 532.2

Gonna try wicked tricks for the first time this year. Actually, first time i will ever be shooting a fixed blade at a deer.

Otherwise, at some point this season i will be going back to 4 blade rocket miniblasters(been shooting grim reapers the last few years). Unless the wicked tricks blow my mind and provide me with results i cant ignore. Have always been nothing but impressed with the rockets, they just stopped making the ones i like....

^^ .. like you, Ive killed dozens of deer with the Rockets thru the years, I used the Steelhead 100 grs when they first hit the market, then the SideWinders, then the Steelhead XL's, all have never failed me.. since I went to Slicks as my primary fixed head, Ive been super pleased with them, then I started building the 'WickedTrick' myself before they now they came out with their own .. the deer killed with the Wicked's never went out of sight, and they left some massive wounds channels for a fixed head, I still like the other Slicks ... Standards, Mags, Viper Tricks and the discontinued RazorTricks, Ive killed deer with all of those, but I have been impressed with the Wicked's ... yea, I'll still used my Rockets for my Mech's, but the Wickeds are now my go to fixed head ..

Inner loc 125's on a 430 grain Beman arrow off the compound. Zwickey Delta with a 75 grain steel broadhead insert, with a 100 grain arrow insert, with an aluminum footing 2.5" long on a 340 spined Beman ICS bowhunter shaft from the longbow. If it ain't broke, there is no sense in fixing it.

I've never understood the interest in changing broadheads or shooting multiple heads in a season. I've shot magnus broadheads for the last decade and never really think about changing unless they come out with a new head. I shot the stingers for 8 years and the black hornets for the last 2 seasons and couldn't be happier.

My same old boring two blade spitfire. Love my big blood trails. Put a Magnus buzzcut on an arrow yesterday to see how tuned I was since replacing the strings. Same point of impact as my field point at forty. I think I have the absolute easiest bow to set up.

Making the switch from Rage Trypans to Wasp JakKnifes, for deer. Never had an issue with Rages, just switching everything in my setup to stuff that’s made right here in the good ol’ USA. Started out bowhunting with the Wasp Boss’s, and was ecstatic to see they now make a 2” cut 2 blade expandable. I

I see a a lot of good heads being used... is there a bad head out there today ?? .. esp, if one uses the right set up/arrow weight/foc, etc ... if your bow is tuned the way it should be, you wont have any worries
