Just wondering. Heading to WY for a Sept 16th hunt. Will the Mule Deer still be in velvet by then. Hunting for a week.

Unlikely, here in SD they typically start shedding around Labor day and are done before mid-month. Could always be an exception, but unlikely.

I shot a 153 net 3x3 sw of Rawlins on Sep 14th one year but that's a fluke. Most bigger bucks are hard by that time.

Highly unlikely Will. Typically by September 5th most of them will be hard horned.
