Just wondering. Heading to WY for a Sept 16th hunt. Will the Mule Deer still be in velvet by then. Hunting for a week.

Not likely Will...You never know though, you get a freak and he could still be holding some!
Unlikely, here in SD they typically start shedding around Labor day and are done before mid-month. Could always be an exception, but unlikely.
I shot a 153 net 3x3 sw of Rawlins on Sep 14th one year but that's a fluke. Most bigger bucks are hard by that time.

Highly unlikely Will. Typically by September 5th most of them will be hard horned.
Sept 24 last year. But his testicles never dropped.
