Congrats Olivia and proud Dad!
That’s great Ed, congrats to you both
Well... it's real hot and dry here in Arizona. My twin daughters didn't draw any deer tag so I bought them otc deer tags. We hunted in blinds at water holes on weekends. On Saturday I took Sophia out and we missed her target buck by 10 minutes. A nice P&Y buck watered right before we got there (game camera). I took Olivia to a different spot on Sunday. At 11 three bucks were coming in, two 8 points and a spike. I told her to shoot the first one. The spike came in and drank. She made a perfect shot at 25 yards and was stone dead in 30 yards. One of the proudest moments of my life. Sophia gets this weekend to herself. Ed F

My son and his Nebraska buck!
Awesome hunt, my biggest buck to date!
Love hunting early season with the stick bow!
I enjoyed an incredible start to the archery season this past weekend... I was hunting over two freshly opened scrapes on our property. This guy came up from the creek and bee-lined directly to the bigger scrape and freshened it up. He was then perfectly broadside, but a young eight that came in following him was immediately to my right and sensed something wasn’t right so I had to wait for what felt like forever and the eight finally petered off down the trail and this guy opened up to a slight quartering angle. Game on! I let it loose entering mid lung and taking out top of heart before exiting top of leg. He ran about 80 yards and piled up... It felt odd punching the tag so quick, but I’ll make the best of the fall yet as I have a few hunts on tap yet and the boys will need some guiding.
Buddy shot this North Dakota buck
Holy wheat field!!!!! That is a Great North Dakota buck!!!
Congrats to your buddy Elite1, what a great buck!
Nice! the right side on that buck will score big!
I will certainly let you know pictures really don’t do it justice. It’s going to score really well no mercy will be getting it after the 60 day drying period.

I was blessed with this cool Nebraska buck on 9/27. He was following a scrape line on a property that I had not really hunted in 2 years. Taken with the Bear recurve I purchased at the Pope & Young auction in Omaha. 17 yard shot and 75 yard recovery.
Had a huge snow storm here in Southern Alberta over the weekend. Was lucky enough to get this guy a few days later. 38 yd shot.
Awesome deer to all! Whoo hoo!!
Freezer was empty of venison. I'm happy with this young doe, good eats!
Dino, WTH, I thought you got your photos mixed up. Foot of snow, early fall cape. You guys are tough!
Cazador. Yes. It’s Alberta. All ranges of weather at anytime. There was almost 3 ft of snow on the ground! Combine this with -5 Celsius. My damn hands were frozen solid after shooting him.
Dino....how did you find him? Must of had to track him....no blood trail to follow...WTH
Took my best archery buck to date, the 2.1 Sevr head really did its job. As he lay.
5575, Wow!!! Congrats to all.
I'm seeing a lot of droopy ears in these pics... are we sure they're legit??
Congrats guys! Some beauties being taken.
Great deer, 5575! Any better pics of him??

Halloween buck......NW WI.
Brad that is an awesome buck. I am just getting started in Wyoming and will take two weeks off in mid November since I finally drew a late season tag on my side of the hill. Moss
Some fantastic bucks shot on here. I broke out of a 5 year drought on 10/13 of this year. Had 7 bucks all come through and this one came through at last light. Only went about 70 yards. Was thrilled to make a good ethical quick kill on a mature buck again.
Keeping the freezer full! First self filmed deer as well, pretty cool experience!
crap... not sure why it posted sideways. I'll try this pic. Congrats to all!

Thanks Earltex. There are quite a few giants on this thread. Fun to see. This is my best grossing buck to date. Shot on a farm I share with my brother-in-law W8TN4RT in Eastern IL. I've passed a lot of solid bucks in the past few years hoping to get a crack at a good one. It finally happened after a long dry spell!

11/9/2019 Iowa. He was with some does. I was fortunate that a smaller buck had come from the other direction and he came over to chase that buck off after I did some calling.
Looks like the big ones are starting to drop. Congrats to all the successful bowhunters posting their pictures!
Nice deer, congratulations everyone.
Since you SE MN can legally tag 3 bucks this year using appropriate tags, I purchased a firearms tag and filled it Sat morning.

After a nest full of goose eggs this fall, I needed at least 4 deer for meat. Headed to Nebraska with 3 doe tags and a buck tag.
1 and 2 year olds were safe for the first week.
First deer was a button buck 11/4. He was wrestling around with a 2 year old and kept at it despite losing badly. They were behind low-hanging sticks at 35 yds for quite some time and finally gave me a shot at 24 yds. He didn’t go far.
It started pouring rain immediately after the shot and i was a mile in.
The next day I shot a spike at 25 yds in a different spot and missed just back of the heart and lost him. I was really mad at myself for making such a bad shot. I backed out and gave him 8 and I thought I’d recover him, but the blood trail went forever and then petered out.
2 days later at a new spot I doubled up on does. Shot the big doe through the heart and she was down in 30 yards. An hr later, her doe fawn came back and I shot her too. I hit the fawn quartered away pretty far forward and had a Hell of a time finding her because she did a big circle, but persistence paid off and I found her.
Two days later at the same spot, different stand, I cold called in the biggest WT buck I’ve ever seen while hunting public land - a 155ish 8 point that was super tall with giant G2s. He was peaking through the trees at 17 yds. He was coming in and when he looked behind himself, I drew thinking that was my only chance to. He caught the tail end of my draw and wouldn’t come in.
He then circled around to scent check and I had him in the wide open at 15 yds, but with a ton of small oak branches in the way. He was going in to catch my scent stream in another 10 yds so I drew with nothing to lose as I was only 4 feet off the ground using cedars as cover.
He didn’t bolt at the draw, but I had no shot through the sticks. I did have a window if I crouched, but he bolted as I crouched down.
The next day I picked up my dad at the airport and spent most of the rest of the hunt setting up and pulling stands for him or waiting out rain.
I did kill a 2 year old with a couple days left in the hunt to finish filling the freezer.
I figured the morning blown because it took me so long to get dad set up, so I didn’t bother hanging a stand. I walked the river and found a nice natural ground blind in a fallen tree.
I grunted in the 2 year old and shot him at 8 yds, which equals my closest deer off the ground, drawing when he put his head to the ground facing me to smell the ground.
Dad ended up shooting a button buck, his first white tail. He never saw a buck bigger than a fork in Iowa and saw precisely zero deer on Nov 11th on an all-day sit with good wind at a trail crossing.
Great hunt Ike! Congrats buddy! Awesome getting to spend time in the woods with your dad.
11/17 - Iowa
Passed a lot of bucks waiting for the right one. Coming down to the homestretch of my trip I wasn’t going to let this buck walk. My widest at 20.5” inside.
Here’s the pic of my dad’s deer.
Treeman, I hope you now understand the quality of my hunt photos. The apple doesn’t fall far from the tree.
Finished up the Pa archery season with the recurve and a doe on the last last day, what a great season!
My wife, Lana... November 2nd and 8th and a boar I killed on the 17th. I'm still after a buck.
Ike, your picture taking skills need some work, but your killing skills are okay. :)

My second deer in Wyoming on my general tag.
very nice pics and stories, congrats to all!
Wanted to contribute to Elk Meatpole wasn't meant too be this year, can't complain about how the Whitetail hunting has been in Kansas though. My son started us off, and I followed up.
I'm like KSBOW, I wanted to contribute to the elk meat pole.
Wow, great deer everyone! My turn next!
Nice to see many stick bows in these pictures, good work folks.
Dave I had the privilege to pick up a recurve and mentored by 2 of the best traditional shooters in Wyoming 30 years ago. I’m 62 now and plan to continue shooting one as long as possible. It’s what I love just like everyone else that loves what equipment they shoot as it should be. One thing about Wyoming that a lot of people don’t realize is that to hunt late season whitetail you have to hunt the rifle season as there is not a strictly late archery season. The Wyoming G&F allows all legal weapons during the rifle season.
My first buck this year a 7 ptr from ct
My 2nd buck on my birthday nov 16 69 years old in ct
267 lb on hoof Ohio Hoss.... Slightly quarter toward me, took out heart and all major arteries just above. He was close 15 yds (not a big fan of the quartering to you) , but new the Mathews and Grim Reaper were up to the task ….. went maybe 75 yds.
Hunt Man, That killing them off the ground is so much fun. I've got several that way with my Tall Tines recurve. Love the CRP ground for them hunts
Grunted him in after he beat up a bigger buck.
Been hunting this one since August. Our 3rd encounter was fatal...
2nd buck of season, now all I have left is doe tags!
My IA buck as he lay, taken on only the 4th "hang" (from the saddle). Admittedly I was a little bummed I had to shoot one so soon on my 15 day hunt :)
Some really nice deer on here. Here’s my Illinois river bottom buck, 11/26
Some awesome bucks, guys! Kodiak threw a curveball in my whitetail plans, but still have 10 days here before the gun seasons open, plus the late season as well.
Nov.20. Western Kansas. Watched him fall. Not only able to drive to him, but a cut bank let us slide him into the bed of the pick up. The latter was the best part.
Had a great hunt on Sunday, November 24th. My Dad and Grandpa watched this buck trot right over to me and I shot him at 32 yards. My wife then brought my son out to our ranch and we got a picture with four generations of hunters. Very special day for us all
Awesome pics and a great buck Kyle! Congrats!
Great pictures everyone and congratulations to those of you that got their deer.
Fortunate enough to get an arrow in this guy Sunday night.

Thornton, as soon as I saw that buck, I thought 'Kansas'. Not sure what made me think that, maybe the habitat. That is a Hoss, thick, with character, nice one for sure! Like those better than the long skinny tines.
That is the biggest, ugliest whitetail I have ever seen. Looks like a girl I dated in high school........
Got this one last day of muzzleloader season here sitting in my Millennium G100 in front of a blowdown. Really thought it was a yearling doe, but it wasn’t. Made a great shot and didn’t go 20 yards. Watched it fall.
