OK, I'm getting older and not as agile as I used to be. I'm wanting to move to a self climbing stand. Looking for portability, weight, strength, user friendly. Who is making the best product these days?

Summit Goliath IMO is the most comfortable secure climber on the market today.

interesting approach. I think I would get away from climbers as I got older (if I ever used one in the first place........not) and maybe went to ladders or lowering lock on's. Not sure how much safer a climber is (assuming you can get the lock on in place in the first place I guess)

The XOP Sit and Climb is almost identical to the Lone Wolf (which I think is the best out there). They fold flat and short for carrying, they are light, quiet to set up. I've had mine for over 15 years if I had to guess. Solid as a rock!

X2 on the Summit Goliath.....had mine since 2007ish. It holds me so that gets my vote.

Summit climber is my choice. I too like the climber more and more as I age. I feel secure in the viper style climber.

Tree Walker. Relatively lightweight, very sturdy, extremely quiet.
