The cot
The cot
So I sold my truck camper and recently bought an A.R.E. over height canopy. Five feet tall at the back. I used a big Cabelas outfitter cot for a seven day hunt recently, but it’s to wide, long and high. And I’m not a fan of cots anyway. I was going to weld up a frame, but then remembered I also have an old BassPro cot that’s too narrow and bagged out. The cot fit nicely around the wheel wells. So I cut two pieces of 3/4” ply and added some blocks to keep the two pieces aligned on the cot. I now have a foldable frame and easily stored plywood pieces.

In the canopy. I use a two inch thick Thermorest pad and a three inch thick memory foam on top. There’s room for four Rubber maid tubs underneath with lots of open space leftover.

Looks pretty comfortable with those mats on top. Good luck on your hunting
