So Nebraska game and parks and cabelas did a deal where if you take young people or someone that has never been fishing. You submit photos and they randomly draw a name for someone to win a new boat. Well I took my 5 and 2 year old and apparently I won the new boat! Thanks to beav and a couple other guys I'm thinking of upgrading to a bowfishing boat if they let me.

Congratulations! Yes, you get to pay taxes! Federal Income Tax on the value of the prize; State (if applicable) income tax on the value; State sales tax (if applicable) on the value; and license fees. Oh, and your state likely will get you for the license on the trailer too.
Seems like the boat belongs to the kids............................I'd let them pay the taxes.

Take advantage of all the cheap stuff, youth hunts, kids days etc you can places really roll it out for them including many states for hunts and points. Trust me mine are now 19-14 and it’s starts hurting the pocket book a lot harder

Thanks everyone! This is the boat we won but we upgraded right away to a grizzly tracker 2072, so if anyone sees a boat following "BEAV" around bowfishing its probably me haha
