After finding out my arrows are under spined. I am going to go get new ones today. 300 spine FMJ's, which are 12gr. per inch. I am getting them cut to 29inches long. How much wieght up front with the insert and head will put me at optimal FOC. Or will it really even matter, since I am a max range of 50yd shooter. And that's not by choice, it's by default cause of my shooting skills

You’re going to have a tough time getting high foc with 12g per inch. You can use a 75gr insert with 125gr heads to get a little foc and a nice, heavy arrow. There are foc calculators online if you google.

Can you cut your existing arrows down any....if you are right on the border do this or crank your bow down a few lbs.

Thanks. JTV, that was pretty easy. I should have found that before I posted.

Shooting bare shafts for perfect bare shaft flight will tell you insert and tip weight.
