Not out of the ordinary in Katmai. Tons of close interactions between bears and humans there.

Yeah if you’ve ever been to Katmai and up the Brooks River that picture wouldn’t be as shocking. Bears are thick and as long as you aren’t a salmon or have one in your pack you’ll be fine.
