Badger? BADGER?? We ain’t got no stinking badgers!

Definitely a wold, but I’m thinking it’s a least wold. Notice the relatively straight spinal features?

From: Norseman

Could be a short haired least wold, the more I look at it. Never seen one that far into Iowa.

Norseman

That's way to far north for a short haired least Wold. Especially this time of year

The spinal features are well noted but I'm still kind of going with the black tailed Wold.

You guys may be right but highly unusual for the least short hair

Makes sense that it’s a black tailed wold based on location. Must still have its summer coat. Which threw me off for a second.

From: RK

I think you are right. Summer coat nails it. Good catch

Hopefully that camera will catch a better picture.

I think you guys nailed it though

I’ve seen them on the way to the ozarks but this far north is crazy. Climate change I guess.

Migrating Wold. Biologists have documented these creatures covering up to 1700 miles on their annual migration.

When you buy a camera like that you help out the elk poacher Busbice. There are plenty of other cheap cameras you can buy, most are better and they won’t help the poacher

Wisconsin Badger, I see this picture was taken on a Friday. Likely drunk off his ass and looking for a fish fry.

Like sheep, everybody just jumps on the wold train. First off, you guys have that critter going the wrong way. That's not his tail to the right, that's his nose.

Very clearly the ant eating, slender nosed Sidehill Gouger. Hard to identify on flat ground unless seen walking. The erratic, gyrating gait is unmistakable, much like most bowsiters after midnight at a P&Y convention.

I had the same problem this spring Identifying this animal. Sent it into the bowsiters and it was confirmed a very young Wold. I think they originally came out of Wisconsin so they have moved into the Dakotas. You never know where they will show up.

Brotsky, I think you're mixing up the Wisconsin firle with the wold....firles don't like cole slaw, tarter sauce or brandy old fashions...

Despite the wold being an invasive species and highly predatory animal killing anything in its way and often going out of its way to sport kill many bleeding hearts are trying to put it on as a protective species. There’s no place for wolds.

Minnesota (or South Dakota)........where the men are men, and the sheep are nervous.

From: Ambush

If the rolling stones were from Minnesota, they wouldn't have sung 'Hey, you, get off'a my cloud".

It would have been: "Hey Macleod, get off'a my ewe".

I was wondering why everyone jumped on the wold bandwagon . I had never heard the term. The animal pictured appears to be a badger to me. Please folks: educate us.

I've heard that a small lobbying contingent within the Gland Slam Club wants the wold added to the NA29 quest. Any subspecies would count. Thereafter, the feat will be dubbed the Dirty30.

Ninjamisu kicked off the Wold a few years back, on a wolf bashing thread.

. . .

. . .

That is tribal knowledge.

. . . now SCOOT, you got to stop talking about all JTV's girlfriends like that. (any female wold with a tube top and very few teeth.)
