Last hour should be good. Small grove of white oaks with a few scrapes nearby.

I don’t get the opportunity to hunt here very often. Lots of family, work, and free time variables need to align. Small 30 acre wood lot but several big bucks taken in the area every year

Neighbors aren’t that neighborly. I’d hate to lose one across property line. Hunting with my brother in Pittsburgh has helped with that fear

Heard something moving through the neighbors cornfield right behind me. And downwind unfortunately

Down and out. Something definitely moved off through the corn but never saw it.
Of course I had one blow at me as I packed up my treestand

You must have been right on top of the line to hear a deer in the neighbors corn. I wonder if that is why they aren’t very neighborly.

Just had 4 does come by. Missed the easy 8 yard shot. Recovered and put one in her. She was almost facing straight away and I am not sure the arrow went in the chest cavity.

Having trouble posting to bowsite. Had good blood for over 200 yards. (9:30) Could only be a single lung hit given the angle. Backed off where she crossed a creek.
My nephew and dad helped me track. Nephew found this beside a log that had blood on it.
Went back to look at 10:30. Jumped her walking towards the creek crossing from the other side. She had a big bulge of guts hanging out. Backed out again. Will look again at 3 pm.
