Anyone harvesting any game with a self-bow they build? Lets see your harvests.

Here's a deer 'Harvest' for ya.... How about calling it like it is a 'Kill' instead of 'Harvest'?
How about a HH Super Static 2019 Kill.

What!? No entry/exit wound. Fake news folks, fake news.
This is a real kill pic with a 58" - 47#@28" Two Tracks Ogemaw self-bow; exit wound (steep shot), blood and all included. LOL
You got it all in that pic....blood, tongue hanging out. I`m so offended...lol
How dare you post a picture with the tongue hanging out.:)
Would be very cool to build your own self bow and kill something with it. Nice work guys!
I have no doubt, Rick!
Carbon and selfbow? What!
Both were shot clean two holes.
Making America Primitive Again.

Just took this nice buck with a HedgeHunter Super Static. Good Oct buck for this property.

And...that's a good looking bow too!! ,great buck...
How many deer can you shoot down there in Tennessee Hedgehunter ??? What’s that... about 6 deer or so for you so far this year ??
Big Bear
The total number a hunter can take depends on the Unit/Region and no more than 2 antlered bucks for the year.
Unit L, where I live has a 3 doe per day bag limit. Other units have season limit of 2 while others allow 4.
Overall its a long season with very liberal bag limits.
In Hawaii you pay $150 for state bow area and can take 3 doe and 3 buck. Plus state draw hunt in different area.
On my Tenn place its what Rick said and you also get a draw buck and I take a Ft Campbell buck. The new farm in Tenn needs to have about 20-30 doe this season which need to go. Six rows of beans on all edges gone is to much. I need to get going on that place soon.
On CT place I have Damage Tags and state tags for Bucks and Doe's.
When everyday is Saturday its a long season. Will arrow several tons of deer on hoof. Do every year.

Guess I’m kinda an IH
Will have the LW SB annual kill thread up soon.

I dont have a problem harvesting or killing a bunch of deer; its more like finding folks who need the meat. That said we'll take 3 or 4 when we finally start hunting - which will be after the corn and beans are all harvested.
In Feb We do 1000 deer brats of various mixes. Farm has a 25lb sausage stuffer.

Getting in close and getting in done is what its all about.

Hope to have a good ‘un for you soon....
Great Tavis. Good luck.

One more week to get my lifetime best of seven SB Whitetail harvest's in a season. Here til end of year, then out west eventually back to Hawaii before winter surf is done.

Finally managed to get one with the selfbow in ‘19!
Axis
Well done. Getting in close with a selfbow is like shooting one with compound at 120yds.
K
K
Axis are definitely tough. Helps to have a little wind and good cover in a creek bottom...
Cutting him up now. Gonna be some great eats!
2019 Tennessee Selfbow Challenge
2019 Tennessee Selfbow Challenge
Hunted Axis since 1999 in Hawaii. They are tough critters in the rough country and you are always dealing with about ten sets of eyes and noses.
My greatest Harvest of 2019 was probably being able to win the Selfbow Challenge at the 2019 Tennesse Classic. Where you have to build a selfbow complete within a couple days and shoot it for score on the 40 target 3D course. The toughest shoot in the USA to be sure.

HedgeHunter 69" shot well. Victory was slim.
