I shot a “doe” in the ear hole a few years ago with my rifle. It turned out to be a buck. His horns weren’t even sticking out of the skin yet. He was delicious.

This guy is legal in CO. Looks like a 4” brow to me.

Was there a time that the brow tine law in Colorado was 4 inches? Iv had tons of people tell me that then it was mentioned above but it’s been 5 inches for as far back as I can remember?

Most are use to pretending 4” is 5”. ;)

You’re right, it’s 5”, 4 points on a side. Never had to consider skimping-by on that measurement.

Where I hunt any antlered elk is legal. Saw one on a cow hunt once that had spikes about 4 or 5 inches long. He almost got shot but prudence prevailed and he got to walk. Almost messed up and confused him for a cow. Glad I waited.

Ok.. spikes do not count.. legal in this sense is 4pt or 5” brows
