Pre season Prep work on a set upContributors to this thread:
Looking at satellite photos of the Seseganaga Lake where I have been guiding since 2012 for Ignace Outposts. I guide bowhunters only....I spent over 2 hours walk the perimeter of the swamp....talk about moose trails..
I now knew where I wanted to set up my shooters and where I wanted to call from....but to get there would require about 200 yards of chainsaw work to tunnel a trail from the boat to the set up..
Lots of preseason work that pays off for your clients!
Tao, I saw you posted one kill from this year, were there others?
Had a few catch and release....clients chose not to shoot because they want a bigger bull.....harvested 1 but could have had 3 ....8 well within 40 yards. Ran out of light on three evening hunts that had multiple bulls coming in.
This is from the moose trail looking west at where the shooter was positioned
This is from the shooter's position....he watched as the bull went down...you can see the antlers
This is from the shooters position...the bull was walking from the left and he shot it before it got the dead tree at 8 yards
81 year old Larry and his green score 147 P&Y bull...his forth P&Y moose....
