Probably too exhausted and afraid she’ll get pulled down if she tries to stand up on three legs.
Tripod should be stable, but maybe she missed that day in school?

It's kinda funny how some hunters sympathize with the elk in that pic. As a predator myself, I'm actually happy for the cat. He's about to eat very well.
