Took the 71mi drive to the East Stand - a stand only good with an east wind. Temp is 57f, cloudy with mist. Temp isn't going change much the rest of hunt. ESE winds at 7mph couldn't be more perfect. Houses directly behind me about 100yds, Been hunting this property for 4yrs now, usually see deer each sit. Up 22ft in hang-on stand, not much cover. Decoy is 21yds to my slight left. Expecting deer to be traveling from my right to my left, but as we all know, a cruising buck can come from any direction. Camo laptop in backpack - still billable. Nothing worth bragging about. Second time using overall, first time this season. I decided to try after an encounter with a shooter buck last year and I feel the decoy would have brought buck within shooting range
