I see deer at 107 yards moving towards me. I believe it is a doe or the spike.

You sure it's 107 yds and not 108? :) Good luck six.

Nothing else strolled by since the earlier doe. The squirrels are going nuts, pun intended. I had few close to 5 yards. Still nice but I need to dress better. One more layer will suffice. I am going to pull out at 10 am. I have an appointment at 12 pm. I will come back in the afternoon.

My partner today, younger hunter just made a 25 yards shot on a doe. Deer is dead at 60 yards. Easy tracking.

Dead deer on the ground at 63 yards from shot, showing exit hole of a 3 blade mechanical broadhead. Looks like lungs + liver shot.

We had three does coming in from the north and they walked in front of him at 25 yards. Both of us were hunting on the ground. I am teaching him how to stay on the ground rather than climbing a tree. He made me proud today. He told me that his heart was beating to get out of his chest when he saw the deer but he controled his urge to move. We just finished butchering the deer.

Nice vitels.

I forgot to mention. After butchering we concluded it was a liver + lung combo that killed the doe so quick. There was a large cut thru the liver and the lung on the exit hole. The blades also nicked the first stomach section where food goes in first after being chewed. The other lung was untouched. The heart was not damaged during this hunt.
