Skip, the Legend, is dead

My son Andrew killed Skip, a 7 1/2 yo buck we’ve been hunting for 4 years. I have all his sheds since 2 1/2. He’s been flesh wounded, missed and a # of close calls over the years. I honestly thought he would likely die of old age. But a doe was his downfall as is often the case and she led him under Andrew’s tree. What blessing! My other son and my lifelong hunting buddy were all in the blood trail and it’s a memory that never be forgotten. RIP Skip.....

Thanks guys! I’ll get the sheds together and take a pic. Moons, I was shocked when he only weighed 160 lbs. I have summer pics when he looked to be 200 or so. He was really worn down

The LEGEND will live on with the nice shed memorial. A plaque at the kill site would be a touching consideration also to the LEGEND.
