Has anyone tried either? I can keep everything warm on my body except my toes. Drives me crazy.

Me too. Saturday convinced me that in the future when whitetail hunting in 20 degree weather while setting all day in a tree stand, I will have some heated insoles. I have zero problems keeping everything on me tasty warm when it is cool down to plum cold. But, my toes get COLD when I set in cooler weather for a long time.

I’ve recently been converted to the chemical throw away heated insoles. At $1.50 per use they are absolutely awesome. By being an insole the keep the whole foot piping hot. I will be sitting all day tomorrow in -16 temp, -25 wind chill. They are a life saver for a foot sweater like myself. Made by companies like Hot hands and Grabber

The disposable toe or hand heaters don’t work in rubber boots in my experience because they require oxygen.

I started using chemical warmers in rubber boots last year. Working fine

I've tried dropping the hand warmer Hot Hands in my boots and they barley work after shutting down the air supply. I have had them work better in boot blankets on top of my boot toes. I'm lucky though I rarely need anything more than boot blankets and only then if we have temps in the mid teens and below. I also don't use insulated boots as they make my feet sweat and then get cold.

I use the rechargeable heated insoles for all day sits. Only way I can make it when it’s 10 degrees or less. The one thing they have over the cheap reusable ones is you can turn them on or off throughout the day so your feet don’t get sweaty which cause problems later. I can make them last all day by using as needed. You do need to have over sized boots though cause they take up some space. I wear Cabelas Saskatchewan or something like that? 1 size bigger than my normal size. Works for me.

I have the Cabelas predator (I think that`s the name) they are similar to the Saskatchewan and will keep your feet warm to extreme cold. When it gets way down there....there is a pocket on the bottom of the liner that accepts the "toe warmer" style heat packs. That keeps the pack on the outside of the liner under your toes not in the liner.
It took me a year or so until I discovered it....lol....I thought it was just extra material.

I have the Mobile Warming Bluetooth socks. They are awesome, BUT if you have a long walk in you definitely cannot wear them in as you will sweat. The batteries last about 5 hours on medium. It's nice that you can adjust the temp on your phone from an app without making a bunch of noise and movement.

I recently bought a pair of Arctic Shield Boot covers. Once I got into the stand I put some Toe warmers onto the top of my Danners and slipped them inside the AS boot cover.
My feet were warm all day and it was bitter cold here in Iowa. 12 degrees with 20 to 30 mph winds. I’ve never had my feet stay so warm and I’ve tried everything. My Danners are great for the 2 mile hike in. The AS boot cover made sure I was able to sit from 6am to 5:15 pm today.

Those with rubber boots check for leaks or you have a boot model that is not tight to your leg. Keep your feet from sweating on your way in and you will not freeze. Wear wool socks on top of wicking socks. Wiggle the toes once in a while as you sit in stand. Insulate stand platform with foam sheet.

I did the same as Rupe. Worked great.
Adam, what boot and heat source are you using?

Nick and Rupe, I bought a pair last year and loved them. But, can’t get them on over the boots I now have. Did you guys order up in size? Or, are you wearing a light hiking boot?
I’m wearing a pair of leather hunting boots that are not bulky. But, I can’t get them in the dang liners. That’s a shame too because last year was the only fine in my life my feet have stayed warm.

Have a friend that hunts in upstate NY. He uses electric sole warmers. Has a remove (chrome) to control the temp. He says they work great and also mentioned the electric socks are worthless. Dont know the model.

Justin, I remember reading to go up in size on these. I wear my regular size 10 uninsulated Lowa's and I think I have size XL Arctic Shields. Definitely couldn't go smaller.

I've used Hotronics heated insoles, really the heat is on the toes only. They are not cheap but work great in any boot. You can adjust the heat level from low to high, Since I trashed my right foot it gets cold easily, I can turn on the heat for the right foot only if needed.

That makes sense. Last year I wore an uninsulated boot under them. This year, a insulated boot. Reckon I will have to buy a pair of hiking boots again. Thanks Nick

WV, I have a pair of Danner Vitals with 800 gram insulate. I wear a size 11. I bought the 2XL Arctic Shield boot cover. Once the boot cover is on I shove 2 or 3 hand warmers down on top of my toes and my feet are warm. At the end of my hunt tonight the hand warmers were still warm.
