How are you guys layering the stratus system? The fanatic I think will be a bit too warm as I walk in with climber to my spots

Pack fanatic In on climber then put on at base of tree i do this with both stratus or fanatic. If you sweat your screwed dress light and walk in slow

What chasintgeslam said x2!
I usually just wear a t shirt on the way in, unless it’s really really cold.

I agree. Merino wool long sleeve then fanatic over it once you are there. It's a sweet jacket but Stratus works also. Just need another layer...2 if lower than 40.
I wear merino SS then a LS then my jackets.

I wear my fanatic bibs completely unzipped down both legs with my harness on. Then I pack my fanatic jacket to the stand. Works beautifully.

Pat, which one would be more cost worthy. I have 1 to pick, stratus or fantatic

Go fanatic then. Stratus is nice when you need it, but you’ll never be “too hot” if you just put the fanatic on while sitting. I do exactly the same as Pat. Even today, and it’s freakin cold!

I walk into my spots in just my base layers and dress at the stand site. Strap them to a pack or to your stand. I never get dressed until I hit the stand site. That even includes a 2nd pair of socks if the hike is long....sweat is a hunting/staying warm killer.

In my country, the Fanatic is WAY more versatile. While the Stratus can be used over a wide range of temps by layering, the Fanatic is much better in the cold and quieter to boot.
