Dandy Iowa 8 Point Buck

I was blessed to take this dandy Iowa 8 point on my farm lease in Ringgold County on Nov 7. I grunted him in from 100 yards and he gave me a great quartering away shot at less than 15 yards. I aimed for the off side leg and the Rage Hypodermic 2 Blade hit him perfectly in the chest. The arrow penetrated up to the fletching, but it was not a pass thru shot. He only went about 75 yards. Unbelievably, I have a trail cam picture of him running off with the arrow. If you can zoom in on the picture, you'll see the arrow backing it's way out of his chest while he's running away.

We started getting pictures of him on all 4 cameras towards the middle of Oct., although all of them were at night. The first daytime picture came on Oct 29 in the snow. I fell in love with this deer as soon as I saw this snow picture. Unfortunately, I could not travel to IA until Nov 5th. I was hoping and praying that he'd still be on the farm when I arrived. My prayers were answered!
