I am looking for some cheap diy ideas to silence my wood blind. The floor, walls and shelves. Black waffle foam is great but pricey.

I bought laminated floor underlayment from Menards It’s about 1/4” thick and reflective on one side black on the other , seems to work pretty well

I put a carpet remnant on the floor of mine and it’s whisper quiet.

I lined my walls with old carpet underlay and it took all the echo out, Just stapled on. On the floor I have two layers of 1/4” felt (free, industrial) then a piece of carpet. My chair is a swivel rolling office chair. I can quickly and quietly position myself anywhere for a shot

Some good ideas here, for me, everything that we've tried became wonderful material for mouse nests and by the next season the blinds were full of mice.

Now, I leave it wood. I pad the bottom of my chair so the legs are quiet and early season I take my boots off. Later in the year a carry a cheap thin bathroom floor mat that I lay out when I get there and take away when I leave. this works well and has eliminated the mouse issue. If I drop something, it sounds like a bomb going off but it's quieter than my screams when a mouse runs up my pant leg.

Try looking at a cow mat from any of the farm stores.

Yep a stall mat might do the trick.

We put in new carpet last summer. The old has found its way into all my blinds, both bow and gun.

black fleece fabric is cheap and easy to install and has worked well for me

Man, the mice and squirrels are gonna love all your new nest making materials!

I don’t think they are going to like that floor underlayment. I’ve crawled up in a few that had big old chairs in them..... I promptly crawled back out before I contracted some sort of disease

Cover it top to bottomz inside and out, with hockey tape. I read on the internet that it is magic! ;-)

I think we could all save some money and just cover ourselves in hockey tape
