10 mph NW wind in 30F feeling like 17F. Overcast with occasional snow flakes. Beautiful day. I am 15 yards away from trail. Going silent as Canadiens have left the gate to the Arctic open once again.

I will launch a 530 grains 31" long Gold Tip Traditional arrow tipped with a 2 blade fix broadhead from a 50lbs @ 28" Fred Bear Kodiak 60" AMO adorned with a BOA Thunderhorn 4 arrow quiver. Lets hope it does the job.

Done For today. No deer were seen during daylight. Tomorrow morning I will be back for a whole day sit. I will definitely bring a thermos with hot drink, the Arctic Shield boot cover, an extra layer, and definitely hand and foot warmers.

The party started after I left ... I will be there tomorrow morning for sure. The best tasting venison in the woods just walked by.

Tasty vittles and dog chews for the pups, or corn cob holders if you have a cat.

The colder it is the less points they have. I started chasing a ten-pointer in September and now I'm down to a two pointer. By the time December comes around I will be back to antlerless. The best part is that somehow I was able to identify how they travel thru the area. No bait, no food plot, no decoy, no scent, no calling. I must be thinking like a deer.
