Best Free App for TOPO Maps??

I have the On X Hunt App and it's great for finding property boundaries and owners but the TOPO detail is beyond horrible. Can anyone suggest a good app for TOPO maps?

My brother hooked me up with a free one called U.S. Topo Maps. See if this might work for you.

GAIA has a cheap one time charge but you can download USGS topos and aerial views for cheap, for offline use. Also GPS and waypoints, routes, etc..

These two websites work well on computer. I haven't checked to see if you can download maps on phone but doubt it. I believe you need internet connection but they otherwise work well. BTW, I have taken photos with my phone of online map images which works amazingly well. Don't have ability to pinpoint your location obviously. Make sure you go thru the map type options to find the one you want- typically USGS topo or similar.

For the computer, just add a topo server to google earth. GE is a better platform for e-scouting on the pc.

Thanks Wapiti I just started trying to add topo to google earth and end up finding and wasting a half hour playing on the flight simulator and forgot all about the topo maps.

Big, click the link then click the banner that says “view in google earth”, then open the kml with ge or save it to your pc and then open in ge.
