Still 51 but since we are adding comments....I have a lot of hunts I'm still dreaming about. For that very reason I walked into a gym over 7 years ago and have committed myself to working out ever since. I can honestly say I'm in better shape in my 50's than I've been since my 20's. Someday I will chase an elk, mountain lion, moose and many other challenging critters with my bow.

My lovely wife is in the exact same boat. Today she turns 51 as well. We did a very intense upper body and core workout and incorporated 51 extra "birthday burpees" into the breaks. At 51 she is still turning heads!

For those of you youngsters peeking in on us in the over 50 club all I can say is keep dreaming about the hunts you want to do and let that be the motivation to keep working hard in life now so you will be able to enjoy them someday!

I'm 70 and am nearly as strong and fast as when I was the Texas state pole vault winner in 1967, beating a guy (Dave Roberts who later set the world record). I'm contemplating going after the senior pole vault record, but I'm veryyyy busy. Would be a breeze in 70 age class at just over 11'. I figure I could go maybe 15' if I got serious if not higher. That's freeway overpass height territory, ha. Mentally, I'm still in college...a little bit smarter.

Just like a boomer, you drop in declaring "70 is the new 50" and start bragging about feats of strength. In my 50s I was chasing Elk & Mule Deer at 10,000 feet, went on 2 Caribou bowhunts, hunted several states for various animals. It IS a journey as long as the body holds out. Sadly, doing everything right does not guarantee we will stay healthy. Good luck to all you young Grasshoppers.
