Winter time drinks
What's your favorite??? I've attached a pic of mine.. I suspect the only bowsiters that will know this are from MN, ND, WI and maybe IA..
Hmmm.....I was born and raised in MN and I've never heard of that.
Depends on my mood, tonight its Balvenie 21 Portwood finish.
The “Flaming Donkey”... ;)
Heck, even Wyoming’s heard of Tom & Jerry’s! I remember sneaking some sips as a kid at grandma and grandpa’s. I even made some homemade batter a few years ago for Christmas...everyone loved it. Definitely some good chit!
Honey bourbon in a cup of tea
Yukon jack on ice with a little lime juice
Beer. Got two favorites. C-O-L-D beer and F-R-E-E beer
The Glendronach is my favorite, but girlfriend has me sipping Jameson with her, and I like it!
I favor a good Tequila and my current choice is Herradura. My wife recently attended a whiskey tasting in Rochester, MN and has since bought a few bottles for us to go through. Something called Tyrconnell sits atop the liquor cabinet currently.
Nice, warm, tall glass of doe milk. :)
When that runs out, I love sipping on a highball of Monkey Shoulder or Wild Turkey 101.
Whole milk, water, and an occasional corona is all I drink. Year round. Where they rank is dependent on the timing and the situation. And, that changes daily. Even through the winter.
Good bourbon neat, Chilled vodka neat.
Or even an Irish Car Bomb with Jamison. It’s an Irish boiler maker drank as a shot.
Which is not even close to being neat. It’s usually a mess. but oh so good.
Beer and bourbon. You need to be flexible.
Crown royal Canadian rye whisky, nothing better!
Im with WV, water, milk, straight coke with ice, not really into alcohol.....
Drinking Tom & Jerrys is a family favorite at Christmas time, Brandy Alexanders are tasty too
Winter is Makers Mark season. Speaking of winter, I was born in February, I'm a happy Pisces.
I like beer and cider but the cider goes down a bit better than beer when its cooler outside. Hard to beat a cold beer when its hot.
I make my own apple pie moonshine. Apple cider, apple juice, apple pie spices, cinnamon sticks. Bring to boil, simmer a bit. Let cool. Add grain alcohol. Put into a few growlers in fridge. It gets smoother the longer it sits. Enjoy on a cold winter day while your manscaping or milking a doe or cooking up some wolf in a crock pot. ;)
Same as in the summer, Crown Royal on ice with a little splash of Canada Dry ginger ale, eh.
It's like an Angel pee'ing on your tongue.
How do you know what an angel peeing on your tongue is like?.... and btw. Just cause he has angel wings on doesn't make him an actual angel...
Coffee black! Life’s to short to drink calories I’d much rather eat them.
All that booze and I'm still sucking Fierce Gator Aid.
Tom and Jerry's, Old Fashions and Leinies Snowdrift Vanilla Porter. Knob Creek takes the chill off!
Woodford Reserve, Knob Creek, Makers,... Neat or over a single cube.
Coors light and fireball (not mixed together). Yes... I'm that classy!
What is this winter of which you speak?
A shot of Jameson with a pickle juice chaser is pretty good, otherwise.....Busch Latte year round. ;-)
I'm generally a Busch Light drinker, but this time of year I drink all the Citra Noel (from Columbus Brewing Company in Ohio) I can get my hands on......best winter seasonal beer I have had. If can get your hands on it, I'd give it a try!
A sip of Johnny Walker Black and a good Tom Clancy novel. (unless a new hunting mag arrived)
Jameson, Elijia Craig, Gentleman Jack
I like to have a ‘Zodiac’ every once in awhile.
Oops - too soon? :)
Whiskey on the rocks. Oh wait, that’s my summertime drink also. Cheers!
I like Legacy Whisky and Busch Light will always quench the thirst.
Don't really drink much, a beer or 2 once in a while OR a celebratory White Russian (or a few) after eating fresh elk tenderloins.
They sell Tom and Jerry batter here in our local grocery, never tried it.
Boring black coffee when I wake up , then rinse and repeat until bedtime
yukon jack on ice for late season cold hunts. beer for hot weather . of course lots of water for most part , never pop or diet pop to much sugar or artificial sweetener.
Balvanie (any of them), Jamison cuppers croze, Jamison cask mates - all on the rocks. Loving a Jack and coke zero of late.
Kirkland. Better than Crown, and cheaper
And Busch Latte
Most anything Sam Adams and tequila. I like the way I feel when wifey drinks tequila!
I'm a beer drinker I will take a hit of corn liquor to be social but personally find nothing enjoyable about it & after a long cold day a shot or two or 3 of some good spiced bourbon besides a wood stove will definitely warm ya up & put ya to sleep
Whistle Pig Rye or a good Irish whiskey...Tyr Connell, Jameson or Dubliner for example. Last 2 inexpensive but tasty.
Nice warm doe milk and Bailey's
Bourbon. Currently the selection is Clyde Mays and MB Roland Dark Fired. On the rocks and the occasional old fashioned.
Coffee, cone dripped, 2-3 scoops of good locally roasted beans in 10-12 oz. Ahhhhhh!
A few foggy geezers and I'm good to go.
