Can you customize a MBG sight such as the Whitetail, into a two pin? 1 Fixed pin, 1 adjustable pin?
Yep, give them a call if you’re having trouble on their “custom tab”.
Yes, but you'll likely get a better price from a dealer. The last time I ordered one, MBG told me that themselves. They are GREAT people to deal with.
Not sure what you mean by one fixed pin and one adjustable. They will both be adjustable.
S&S Archery in Boise is a decent place to order MBG sights. I ordered a 5 pin custom Whitetail Ascent through them....special pin colors and level bubble on top of the sight ring instead of the bottom.
Second what Charlie said, good folks !
Yep, S&S is the way to go. I did a custom whitetail and was very pleased with their service and the price is better than going through MBG.
midwest, I was thinking, for me, I would love a sight that had a fixed pin I could set at 20 yards, and a adjustable pin that I could set at 30, but would have slider capability out further. 95% of my shots whitetail hunting are under 30 yards. And I would love to still have longer range capability without the clutter of 3+ pins. I don't like the thought of just a 1 pin slider.
Gotcha. Yeah, that's a good way to go. I have a couple 3 pins and use the bottom as my slider. Realize though, the whole housing slides, not just one pin.
Oh!? I did not know that. Thanks.
Black golds custom shop is pretty pricey.
A Ascent Verdict 5 pin with 4'' dovetail is $225 retail. The same sight from the custom shop with just 4 pins is $308.00?
Other than that, they're pretty good.
I have the 5 pin accent verdict. Got it customized with the individual micro pins and pin size also the super short adjustment knob.. love that sight
I just added two more pins to my three pin Ascent Verdict. Great sight.
Another for S&S...I’m waiting for the Black Friday, Cyber Monday sales! :-)
I have gotten a couple from S&S... great service.
Anyone know the difference in weight between the Whitetail Ascent and the Mountain Lite?
