Great buck, better buddies
Just wanted to share my buck with you all from the evening of 11/20/19. My two hunting partners and I have been after this guy for the last 4 seasons and he’s made us look like complete clowns. I caught him slipping up and managed to close the deal on him.
More important than anything that went down tonight, I have two of the best hunting buddies a guy could ask for. We have a little slice of whitetail heaven that we love to spend time on. These guys would bend over backwards to help me, like they did tonight. Both did an awesome job on a difficult blood trail in tall CRP. As many of you know, good hunting partners can be hard to find. These guys are as solid as a rock. Thanks again fellas, looking forward to returning the favor.
Hope all my fellow Bowsiters have a safe, fun and enjoyable remainder to your seasons! I had a great day, with great friends.
Some other pics of our crew...
Hard to come by is a understatement !! Great bucks and buddies!! Congrats ! Hunt
As the years pass it seems that many things change. I come to realize that I have prioritized friendship and hunting camp very highly compared to many others. My son just returned from Washington state and I now have a solid hunting buddy. So happy.
I recently lost my hunting partner but have gained a new one. We are mutually all in when it comes helping each other hang stands, bloodtrail or drag a deer out late night or early morn. Congrats on a fine buck and appreciating good friends!
Congrats to you and your two hunting buddies. What a great combination.
Nice write up! Many more great hunts and memories!
He's a bruiser....congrats!
Very nice congrats to all!
Great team effort. Congrats!
Getting to share time with great friends and family in the woods is priceless. Oh and congrats, that’s a helluva nice buck. Great job
Congrats on a great buck he is so cool! Also glad you have something that is even more great and that is close hunting buds.
Congratulations! Really cool buck! How long are his main beams?
Those are all great bucks, and better that it was shared with good buddies. Congrats to you guys. I have just resumed hunting with my two cousins after a few years hiatus, and it is great to be 'back'. They are good guys, and like my brothers (which I have 0 of), and good hunters.
well done.... and good hunting buddies is what makes hunting to me...
wow love the curled eye guards, nicely done oz
Congratulations. Good work.
Congrats on both counts ! I’m fortunate in the same way, I have two good friends and while we all don’t hunt at the same times due to opportunity, (two of us are retired and one isn’t) I can still count on them if I need help and they can count on me as well.
Very cool buck! Congratulations on the buck and more importantly on having good buddies to share it with! Friends that hunt as hard as you do and are willing to put the work in are damn rare!
Thanks guys. I’m truly blessed to have a couple of great hunting buds.
Embry, his main beams taped out at 26” and 27”
Wow! I thought they looked long, nice buck for sure!
We did a quick gross measurement of him and came up with 170 5/8” 6” based, 20” inside spread and long beams. Believe it or not he’s been going downhill the last few years.
Here’s a pic of him from 2017 as a 4x4
Fantastic whitetail - congrats to you and your buddies. Great stuff!
Congratulations Jeremiah that is an awesome buck!
Really, really nice buck! Congratulations and good to hear you share camp with great friends. That makes the deer just a bonus.

Super duper for sure. Nicely done. my best, Paul
wam wasn’t sitting in the skinning shed drinking all your beer, while you guys were on the blood trail, was he??!!
Congrats on a great buck, and even better buddies, JW! It makes the hunts even more special when you’ve got friends like that!
