My brothers Ks mule deer this year. Was just curious what people thought as far as age
Pretty close to Dirt, from the looks of it!
Location and diet. Sand Hills or elsewhere in Ks?
Lots of variables to the tooth system
Looks like my molars so I'm going with a little over 65
WI DNR has a PDF on line to help you.
Those don't look exceptionally old to me. Definitely not a spring buck, but not a ancient. Send a tooth in to deerage.com and find out.

5.5+. The Wildlife Techniques Manual says it's between 5.5 and 8.5 but aging by tooth wear after 2.5 is a SWAG. Environmental factors and health of the deer are factors that can't be accounted for in tooth wear aging model.
Only thing I know for sure is he is as old as he is going to get. Any pics of him with fur on?
6 1/2 The 4th tooth is showing enough wear to be smooth. 5 and 6 not smooth yet
