Got to sit with my son tonight a video him shooting his best buck. He was always so busy with football to hunt much. His last deer was 6 years ago. Very thankful today.

I can relate with the fall sports schedule. My son hasn't had a chance to deer hunt since 2014 due to his travel hockey schedule. Can't wait to take him when he's done.
Actually you helped him kill a hog when he was 10 in the "off" season. :)

Great memory for both of you, Forrest. That''s what we call "a season-maker."
Our son killed his first P & Y on Thanksgiving Eve, and before that his first buck bowhunting on his own on Thanksgiving. Gee, wish I had the text messages he sent me on both of those. Especially, the P & Y, when he said he'd climbed to the top branches of a huge bur oak and saw his buck about 60 yards away. "I watched him through binoculars for five minutes...he's just laying there...his head is down...the does walked off and left him. What do you think?" Great times for any family.
