Stumbled upon a cat eating an elk. instead of doing what cats normally do (run). He started growling and hissing and protecting his lunch. At 25 yards and with him snarling I shot him in the face. After looking for four hours, the dogs were called in and made it just before dark. About a two minute track and they found her under a tree I walked under several times.

Congrats on a rare feat, Fred. Major pucker factor when searching for him, I’ll bet!
Is a cat tag in Arizona part of your hunting license, or do you have to purchase it separately? Also, are there quotas on cats there?

T-roy it was very intense for a few moments there. you have to purchase a Cat tag. I think its like 25.00 dollars for a resident.

Man that is so awesome! I buy a lion tag every year, but no luck yet... YET:) Super cheap for a resident, you would be nuts to not buy one and hunt here.
