mount just came in
Nice, that must be a Siberian musk antelope.
Good detail around the eyes.
And I bet you killed it during a full moon.
Looks like the elusive wide-eyed, thin necked, bassackwards whitechinned deer..........or just a giant jackalope. Can’t be sure, gonna have to research this. I wish TBM was still here. He would know for sure !
Just a friendly reminder during the holiday season....
The eyes are pulled as tight as Joe Biden’s.
Like with all mounts beauty is in the eye of the guy who paid the taxidermist.
Thats downright terrible. I mean the mount is spot on, but the centering on the plaque is just embarrassing.
Looks like you killed a up and comer. Damn hate when that happens.
Mounts look like they may be cousins.
Next thing he will be posting a manscaped long armed field photo ;-)
Looks like he has a bad case of cat scratch fever.
That deer looks just like my sister....
Did you hit him with your car??
He has that "Deer in the Headlights" look to him !
Both mounts are exquisite! Attention to detail is second to none thanks for sharing. Thrilled with my leopard I just got back
That is the Rodney Dangerfield of cats right there…
Actually my sisters neck looks like a truck tire.... so im second guessing it...
I just picked this one up cheap on Ebay
“I just picked this one up cheap on eBay”
Looks like you dropped it several times too, sitO!!
Pete, you got a good eye!
That mount was created by a talented taxidermist.....I notice he/she has captured even the most subtle of details, right down to illustrating the dietary habits of this species, which is 99% powdered donuts.
Jack a Roe....to a Deadhead
This is some of the best humor we’ve had here in a little while…
Just remember, fellas… There is no taxidermy that is so bad that it can’t be made worse with a wide-angle lens!
I've been dabbling in taxidermy a bit. To me, the eyes are everything. I was never satisfied with the ones I could purchase so I started making my own. Makes all the difference in the world, IMO.
Bowfinatic, is that a leopard or a leper ?
Midwest’s cat looks like he’s been in a hatchet fight......but didn’t have a hatchet !
Midwest, that’s my neighbour’s cat, just before, during and after I ran over it.
I only mounted it because it took me several tries and then had to finish him off with a shovel. Took like half an hour!
Definitely looks like the taxidermy work was done with a shovel, Rod!
Pretty sure this was the squirrel that cat was after
The best work I’ve seen yet!
This was my last year's take. Love his take on the open mouth! Agree with Midwest on the eyes clearly my guy nailed this one
Lol! Looks like Brer Fox is in the middle of the worst hangover of his entire career!
Love those ears, really captured the realism of the fox!
Can’t shoot that one in BC , Nick. That would be a Spirit Alf, probably from the Great Alien Rain Forest.
