First time ever using trail cameras and this is what shows up first. I knew there was a good deer in the area, but I was sure surprised! Anyone care to venture what this guy would score? These pics were taken in the past few days, I didn’t have the date and time right on one camera.

I’m not much on scoring big deer, do all right on the ones 140 and under, but my S. W. A. G. is low to mid 150s.

That's a toad. I'd say 160s all day. Is it a clean 8?

You guys crack me up. I've shot 6 or 7 bucks in the 150"s and this buck is quite a bit bigger. I'd have to agree with 160"s maybe 170"

I can see after looking again he’s a nine.

I guess I should’ve known better than to try this. Definitely not a photoshop, I wouldn’t have the first clue how to accomplish that. This pic is from a different camera on my property with the correct date and time stamp. Also, I’ve killed 150” deer before and this guy blows them out of the water.

Distance between his burrs is crazy. Not sure score matters, that is a one of a kind buck.

I would guess upper 160's to 170. That's a helluva deer. Make sure you post a photo on the meat pole when you get him.

Disclaimer-I killed this deer this morning and I did it with a shotgun. Anyway, my biggest buck by far. Definitely not photoshopped!

Now that you see it close up it won`t score well "net".....I think 7mm08 might be the closest "net".

Thanks everyone! It took me 33 years of hunting to seal the deal on a mature buck in his prime. Added to the neat factor for me is that I just bought this piece of ground a month ago, never owned my own property. I have been blessed to hunt on private ground in this same area and there have been some big deer taken off of this piece of ground.
My taxidermist is an official scorer and after looking it over he said he had not doubt that he’d break 170”. Before I dropped him off we put the tape to him and it came out to 174.75”. 26” and 25.5” main beams and 6” bases. The trail cam pics had me convinced that he was at least 26” wide, close but not quite. 22” inside spread and 24.5” outside. 9 point main frame with 3 kickers over an inch. Net would drop it quite a bit probably but nets are for the record book. I would have preferred to get him with my bow, but I couldn’t be happier!

my very first glimpse - thought would break 170. Then studied it "too much" and thought mid 160's, but you did confirm my initial thoughts. Congrats - that's a beautiful buck and to hell with symmetry and nets...

Russell, I appreciate the apology. Those pictures from cheap trail cams were a bit hard for me to believe at first glance, but they really made for a very cool 24 hours!
